Safety Precautions
Always follow the instructions to avoid fire and electrical shock. Repairs should only be performed by qualified technicians. Keep the manual for future reference.
- Do not open the housing as it contains voltage carrying parts.
- Do not place metal objects or liquids inside the unit to prevent electrical shock and malfunction.
- Keep the unit away from heat sources and vibrating surfaces. Do not cover ventilation holes.
- The unit is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it.
- Always pull the plug, never the lead, when unplugging.
- Do not plug or unplug with wet hands.
- If the plug or mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the unit is damaged and internal parts are visible, do not plug it in or switch it on. Contact your dealer.
- Do not connect to a rheostat or dimmer.
- Protect the unit from rain and moisture.
- All repairs must be carried out by a qualified technician.
- Connect to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- Unplug the unit during thunderstorms or when not in use for extended periods.
- Allow the unit to reach room temperature if it has been exposed to temperature fluctuations before switching it on. Never use in humid rooms or outdoors.
- Do not repeatedly switch the unit on and off, as this shortens its lifespan.
- Keep out of reach of children and do not leave unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays on switches.
- Do not force controls.
- Keep the unit at least 60cm away from computers or TVs due to potential magnetic fields.
- If the product has a lead-acid rechargeable battery, recharge it every 3 months if not in use to prevent permanent damage.
- Only use original spares for repairs.
- Switch off the unit before unplugging. Unplug all leads and cables before moving the unit.
- Ensure the mains lead cannot be damaged by people walking on it. Check the mains lead for damage before each use.
- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if your power outlet matches.
- Keep original packing material for safe transport.
Note: For optimal performance, use the unit in rooms with temperatures between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F.
Disposal: Electric products must not be disposed of with household waste. Please take them to a recycling center. Contact your local authorities or dealer for information.
Unpacking Instructions
Carefully unpack the carton and check all parts are present and in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packing material if any parts appear damaged or mishandled. Save the original box and packing materials for potential returns.
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations, do not switch it on immediately. Allow it to reach room temperature to prevent condensation damage.
Power Supply
Check the label on the back of the product for the correct power supply type. Ensure the mains voltage corresponds to the rating. Connect directly to the mains; do not use a dimmer or adjustable power supply.
Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse) and ensure it is properly earthed to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.
Controls and Connections
The Fenton FT10LED features a media player, master volume, microphone volume, echo control, and various input/output connections.
1. Media Player Controls:
- MP3/AUX/BT-MODE: Switches between MP3 player, Aux input, or Bluetooth. Press and hold to switch voice prompts on/off.
- RECORD: Records onto USB/SD port.
- REPEAT: Repeats single tracks or all tracks. Press and hold to switch Auto-talk-over on/off.
- PREVIOUS TRACK / VOL-: Selects the previous track. Press and hold for 3 seconds to decrease volume.
- PLAY/PAUSE: Switches between play and pause. Press and hold to change language between Chinese and English.
- NEXT TRACK / VOL+: Selects the next track. Press and hold for 3 seconds to increase volume.
2. Master Volume: Adjusts the overall output level.
3. Microphone Volume: Adjusts the microphone signal level.
4. Echo Control: Adjusts the intensity of the echo effect.
5. AUX INPUT: 3.5mm jack for connecting line-level audio sources (e.g., CD/MP3/DVD player, hi-fi system, PC).
6. SD PORT: Insert SD/MMC card to play music in MP3 or WMA format.
7. USB PORT: Connect USB devices to play music in MP3 or WMA format.
8. Microphone Input: 6.3mm (1/4") jack for connecting a microphone.
9. Light Switch: Turns the front LED lighting on/off.
10. Power Input: Connect the power cord here. Ensure the mains voltage matches the rating plate.
11. Power Switch: Turns the unit on/off.
