Product Overview & Safety Information
The NÖDMAST is a battery-powered LED lamp designed for indoor use. It features a distinctive dome shape and is powered by 4 AA batteries.
⚠️ Important Safety Information:
- For indoor use only.
- The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life, the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
- This product is not intended for children due to the content of electrical components. IKEA recommends that only adults should handle the recharging.
- Regularly examine the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts for damage. In the event of such damage, the product must not be used with the charger.
- Only connect to SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage).
- Only use batteries that are intended for the product. Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types.
Assembly Instructions
The NÖDMAST lamp requires minimal assembly. The following steps are illustrated:
- Step 1: Attach the lamp stem to the base. This involves inserting screws and washers, as shown in the diagrams.
- Step 2: Secure the lamp head to the top of the stem using screws.
- Step 3: Open the battery compartment cover, typically by unscrewing a small screw.
- Step 4: Insert 4 AA batteries (HR6/AA, 1.2V) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). A diagram shows a crossed-out battery symbol, indicating that only the specified type should be used.
- Step 5: Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Battery and Charging
Rechargeable batteries are sold separately. IKEA recommends using the LADDA rechargeable battery, specifically the 2450 mAh HR06 AA 1.2V model. Four batteries are required.
A USB-C cable and USB charger are sold separately. IKEA recommends the SMÅHAGEL 1-port USB charger (ICPSW5-5EU-1). The charging process requires a 5V DC Min 1A power source, SELV.
LED Indicator Status
The integrated LED indicator provides feedback on the charging status:
- ℹ️ White LED pulsing on: Charging in progress.
- ℹ️ White LED steady on: Charging complete.
- ⚠️ White LED flashing: Error. This indicates that the batteries may have been inserted incorrectly, or non-rechargeable or damaged batteries were used.
