Important Information Regarding Wall Fixings

Assembly Instructions

Tools and Components

To assemble the GRANVÅG mirror, you will need the following tools (not included):

• A screwdriver (cross-head)
• A spirit level
• A measuring tape

Included Components:

• 2x Rectangular metal plate (Part 10081184)
• 2x Screw with wide, flat head (Part 10035670)

The assembly process begins by identifying the components and ensuring all necessary tools are available. If you have questions, contact IKEA.

Step 1: Attach the Screws to the Mirror Frame

Place the mirror frame face down. Insert two wide, flat-head screws (part 10035670) into the designated holes on the back of the mirror frame. Ensure they are securely fastened but do not overtighten.

Step 2: Prepare the Wall Mount

Take one wall plug (cylindrical part) and one wall bracket (circular part with a protruding hook). Insert the wall plug into the wall bracket. This assembly will be used to mount the mirror to the wall. Do not use a hammer to attach the wall plug to the wall bracket.

Step 3: Secure the Wall Mount

Push the wall plug and bracket assembly firmly together until you hear a "Click!". This indicates a secure connection.

Step 4: Mark and Drill for Wall Mounting

Hold the mirror frame against the wall at the desired height. Mark the position for the wall bracket. The distance from the top of the mirror frame to the center of the wall bracket should be approximately 290 mm (11 27/64"). Drill a hole at the marked position. Insert a suitable wall plug (not included) into the drilled hole. Then, screw the wall bracket assembly (from Step 3) into the wall plug, ensuring it is firmly attached to the wall.

Step 5: Hang the Mirror Frame

Carefully align the top hook of the mirror frame with the wall bracket. Lower the mirror frame onto the wall bracket, ensuring it sits securely and hangs straight.

Step 6: Secure the Mirror Frame (Bottom)

Locate the two rectangular metal plates (part 10081184). Insert one plate into the slot at the bottom of the mirror frame, pushing it firmly until it clicks into place. This helps secure the mirror frame to the wall at the bottom. Repeat for the second plate on the other side.

Step 4 (Alternative View/Clarification): Attach Bottom Support Plates

This step clarifies the attachment of the two rectangular metal plates (part 10081184) to the bottom of the mirror frame. Insert each plate into its respective slot on the underside of the frame, ensuring they are flush and secure. These plates provide stability.

Step 5 (Alternative View/Clarification): Final Mirror Placement

This step reiterates the final placement of the mirror onto the wall bracket, showing the mirror hanging vertically and securely.

Step 6 (Alternative View/Clarification): Final Bottom Plate Insertion

This step provides another view of inserting the rectangular metal plates into the bottom of the mirror frame, emphasizing the direction of insertion and the secure fit.
