Assembly Steps

Tools and Parts Overview

Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary tools: a screwdriver (cross-head), a spirit level, and a measuring tape. If you are unsure about any steps or missing parts, contact IKEA customer service.

Rectangular mounting plate (2 pieces), part number 10081184
Screw (2 pieces), part number 10035670
GRANVÅG mirror frame with integrated hanging hook

Step 1: Attach Mounting Plates to Mirror Frame

Place the GRANVÅG mirror frame face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
Take the two rectangular mounting plates (10081184).
Align each plate with the designated slots on the lower back of the mirror frame.
Use the two screws (10035670) to secure the mounting plates to the mirror frame. Ensure they are tightened firmly.

Step 2: Prepare the Wall for Mounting

Determine the desired height and position for your mirror on the wall.
Mark the spot on the wall where the top hanging hook of the mirror will rest.
From this top mark, measure downwards approximately 895 mm (35 15/64 inches) and mark the position for the bottom mounting point. This mark indicates where the wall fastener for the lower part of the mirror will be placed.
Based on your wall material, install appropriate wall plugs and screws (not included) at the marked top and bottom positions. Ensure the top fastener is suitable for hanging the mirror's hook and the bottom fastener will secure the mounting plates.

Step 3: Hang the Mirror

Carefully lift the GRANVÅG mirror.
Align the integrated hanging hook at the top of the mirror frame with the top wall fastener you installed.
Gently lower the mirror until the hook is securely seated on the wall fastener.

Step 4: Secure the Bottom of the Mirror

Once the mirror is hanging from the top hook, ensure it is level.
Push the lower part of the mirror towards the wall. The previously attached rectangular mounting plates should align with the bottom wall fastener.
Secure the bottom of the mirror to the wall fastener. This step ensures the mirror is stable and flush against the wall. You should hear a 'click' as it locks into place.

Step 5: Final Check

Verify that the mirror is securely mounted to the wall and does not wobble. Ensure all connections are tight and the mirror is level.
