This guide will help you configure the SSID wireless network name and password on your DWR-BE7200G 5G Wi-Fi 7 Router.
1 Connect to the Router
- Connect your PC / Laptop to DWR-BE7200G either Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is DLink2G-XXXX and DLink5G-XXXX, with the password printed on the product label.
- Once connected, open a web browser and type in https://192.168.0.1 on the address bar and hit enter.
- You will be prompted to enter the Username and Password to access the router's settings.
Note: The default Username and Password are printed on the router's label at the bottom.
- Click Login to proceed.

Note: If you have changed the password and cannot remember it, you will need to perform a hard reset on the router.
2 Configure Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password
- Once logged in, click the My Wi-Fi tab on the top menu.
- Under the Basic Settings section (left menu), you will see settings for both 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- To change the Wi-Fi name (SSID):
- In the Name field under 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, enter your new Wi-Fi name.
- Do the same for 5 GHz Wi-Fi if you'd like a separate name.
- To change the Wi-Fi password:
- In the Password field, enter your new Wi-Fi password (at least 8 characters long).
- Ensure that both Enable switches are toggled On.
3 Saving the changes
- Click Save at the bottom of the page and wait a few seconds while the router applies the changes.
- Once settings have been saved, reconnect using the new Wi-Fi name and password.
Optional: Enable Dual-Band AI Connect
To combine both 2.4GHz and 5GHz into one network name, enable the Dual-Band AI Connect feature found at the top of the same page. When enabled, your router will automatically connect your end device to the best frequency available (2.4Ghz or 5Ghz).
Tip: For smart devices (like smart bulbs or smart plugs) which only work on 2.4 GHz, it's best to leave Dual-Band AI Connect OFF to keep the wireless bands separated.
