D-Link DWR-2000M 5G Wi-Fi 6 Router Setup Procedure
How to set up and install using Nano SIM
This guide will help you set up your DWR-2000M 5G Wi-Fi 6 Router using a Nano SIM in just a few steps.
1 Insert Nano SIM to the DWR-2000M.
- Insert your Nano SIM card into the SIM slot on the router. Use the diagram near the slot as a guide. Push it in gently until you hear a clicking sound ? (Diagram not provided in text).
- Place the router near a window so it can get a better signal from the cell tower. Avoid placing it in shelves / enclosed spaces, or in a spot where LTE / 5G reception is weak.
- Once the SIM card is in place and the router is positioned properly, plug in the power adapter and switch the device on. Wait a minute or two for the boot up process.
2 Check Network Signal
- By default, the router should automatically detect and apply the APN settings of your SIM card carrier card.
- Check the 4G/5G LED indicators on the router.
LED Color Signal Strength Green Strong Blue Medium Yellow Weak Off No Signal - If signal is weak, try moving the router close to a window or an elevated placement to get a better LTE / 5G reception.
3 Connect to the Router.
- Connect your PC / Laptop to DWR-2000M either Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is DLink2G-XXXX and DLink5G-XXXX, with the password printed on the product label.
- Once connected, open a web browser and type in https://192.168.0.1 on the address bar and hit enter.
- You will be prompted to enter the Username and Password to access the router's settings. Note: The default Username and Password are printed on the router's label at the bottom.
- Click Login [➡️] to proceed.

.Note: If you have changed the password and cannot remember it, you will need to perform a hard reset on the router.
4 Configure APN settings manually (If auto-detection fails)
- Once logged in, click the 'Mobile' tab at the top, then select 'APN' from the left-hand menu.
- Click the '[➕] Add' button to create a new APN profile.
APN Settings Interface Overview The router's web interface displays the 'Mobile' section with 'APN' selected. A table lists available APN profiles. Each profile includes settings such as 'APN', 'MCC', 'MNC', 'Authentication Type', 'Username', 'Password', 'IP Type', and 'Roaming Protocol'. An 'Operate' column is present for managing profiles.

- For 'Authentication Type', select 'PAP' or 'CHAP'.
- Leave 'Username' and 'Password' blank, unless required by your carrier.
- Keep other settings as they are.
- Click 'Save' [?].
