How to Change D-Link DWR-930M Wi-Fi SSID and Password

This guide provides instructions for changing the wireless network name (SSID) and password for your D-Link DWR-930M mobile router using either its web-based graphical user interface (GUI) or the D-Link Mobile Connect app.

Method 1: Using the Web-Based GUI

  1. Connect your DWR-930M to a smartphone, laptop, or computer using a USB cable or Wi-Fi. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is D-LINK2G-XXXX, and the default password is printed on the back of the device, under the battery.

  2. Open a web browser and navigate to http://192.168.0.1.

  3. You will be prompted to enter the username and password. The default credentials are: Username: admin, Password: admin.

    ? Note: If you have previously changed the password and cannot remember it, you will need to reset the router to its factory defaults. ?

  4. After logging in, you will access the DWR-930M's web-based management interface. To modify your wireless network's name and password, navigate to the Wireless tab. Under the Wireless Security Settings options, you can adjust the SSID and Password. Click Apply ✔️ to confirm the changes.

Method 2: Using the D-Link Mobile Connect App

  1. Launch the "D-Link Mobile Connect app". If you haven't installed it yet, download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

  2. You will be prompted to enter the username and password to access the router's settings. The default username is admin and the password is admin.

    ? Note: Please check the box indicating "I have read and agree to the User Agreement." before pressing Login ➡️.

    ? Note: If you have changed the password and cannot remember it, you will need to perform a hard reset ? on the device.

  3. Tap ? Wi-Fi Settings from the home screen.

  4. In the 2.4G Wi-Fi Settings, you can change both the network name (SSID) and password for your Wi-Fi. After making the changes, press Confirm ✔️ to save and apply.

Applying Changes and Connecting Devices

  1. After making the changes in either method, press Apply ✔️ (GUI) or Confirm ✔️ (App) to save and apply the new settings.

  2. Wait for the router to update its settings. This may take a moment.

  3. Once the settings are applied, connect ? your devices to the newly configured Wi-Fi ? network using the updated SSID and password.
