FIRST SETUP

  1. EARBUDS SELF-CONNECT

    A. Remove the earbuds from the charging case and remove the stickers.

    B. Press and hold each earbud for over 3 seconds. A blinking blue and white light on one earbud indicates the earbuds are ready to be paired with your device.

  2. CONNECTING BLUETOOTH

    Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's settings. The light prompt of two beeps followed by solid white lights indicates you are connected.

ADDING NEW / ADDITIONAL BLUETOOTH DEVICES: Turn off Bluetooth from any previously connected device. Turn on Bluetooth from the new device. Remove the earbuds from the case. The earbuds will automatically pair with Bluetooth. Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in the new device's settings to connect.

DOWNLOAD THE APP

Customize Epic Air ANC features and update the latest software. Download the JLab Air ANC APP in the Apple/Google Play Store.

CONTROLS

LEFT SENSOR

  • VOLUME DOWN: Single tap
  • SIRI (iOS) or "OK GOOGLE" (ANDROID): Double tap
  • AWARENESS / ANC ON / ANC OFF: Press and hold for over 1 second
  • EQ-SWITCH: Triple tap

RIGHT SENSOR

  • VOLUME UP: Single tap
  • PLAY/PAUSE: Double tap
  • SKIP TRACK: Press and hold for over 1 second
  • EQ-SWITCH: Triple tap

ANSWER CALL: Single tap left or right earbud.

HANG UP CALL: Double tap left or right earbud.

REJECT INCOMING CALL: Double tap and hold for over 1 second on left or right earbud.

MUSIC / MOVIE MODE: Press and hold both sensors simultaneously for over 3 seconds.

TURN OFF WITHOUT CHARGING CASE: Turn off Bluetooth from your device's settings. The earbuds will turn off automatically after 3 minutes.

AUDIO PROMPTS

  • ON: Chime
  • BLUETOOTH PAIRING: "Ready to Pair". Epic Air ANC is ready to pair with your Bluetooth device.
  • AWARENESS ON/OFF: 1 beep / 2 beeps
  • ANC ON/OFF: Chime
  • BLUETOOTH CONNECTED: 2 beeps. The earbud is connected to the device.
  • BATTERY FULL: "Battery Full" (100-80%)
  • BATTERY MEDIUM: "Battery Medium" (80-20%)
  • BATTERY LOW: "Battery Low" (less than 20%. When battery level drops to 10%, "Low Battery" will play once)
  • OFF: Chime

EQUALIZER MODES

Tap each earbud three times for different EQ settings. Audio prompts indicate EQ settings (Epic Air ANC shows 4 EQ settings sequentially). Customize each EQ setting by downloading the JLab Air ANC App from the Apple/Google Play Store.

  • JLab SIGNATURE: JLab C3™ signature sound with enhanced vocals and bass.
  • BALANCED: Even sound without additional audio enhancement.
  • BASS BOOST: Enhanced bass and sub-bass.
  • BIP: Custom EQ setting (download JLab Air ANC app to customize).

AUTOMATIC ON/OFF

  1. Placing the earbuds in the charging case turns them off and starts charging. A blue light indicates the earbuds are charging and turns off when fully charged.
  2. When removed from the charging case, they automatically turn on and connect.

CHARGING

CHARGING WITH CABLE

Connect the Epic Air ANC to a computer or USB 5V 1A (or less) output device.

LEDs blink white while charging and turn solid white when the battery is fully charged.

WIRELESS CHARGING

Place the charging case on a wireless charging platform.

FITTING

Try all ear tip sizes for the best fit and seal.

Insert into the ear canal and rotate slightly to adjust for the best fit.

TROUBLESHOOTING

NO SOUND IN ONE EARBUD OR EARBUDS NOT CONNECTED (MANUAL RESET)

  1. Go to your Bluetooth device's settings and forget JLab Epic Air ANC. [Visual: Phone settings screen showing Bluetooth menu with "JLab Epic Air ANC" to be forgotten.]
  2. Place the earbuds in the charging case and on ONE earbud, quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. The light will flash blue 3 times. [Visual: Close-up of an earbud with a "Tap 7 times" indicator.]
  3. Repeat with the other earbud. Quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. The light will flash blue 3 times. [Visual: Close-up of the second earbud with a "Tap 7 times" indicator.]
  4. Remove both earbuds from the charging case. Wait until one earbud shows a solid white light and the other blinks blue/white. You are now ready to pair them with your Bluetooth device.

BLUETOOTH DEVICE NOT CONNECTING/RECONNECTING

  1. Go to your Bluetooth device's settings and forget JLab Epic Air ANC. [Visual: Phone settings screen showing Bluetooth menu with "JLab Epic Air ANC" to be forgotten.]
  2. First, turn off Bluetooth, then turn it back on. [Visual: Phone settings screen showing Bluetooth toggle.]
  3. Remove the earbuds from the case. Wait until one earbud shows a solid white light and the other blinks blue/white.
  4. Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" under device settings to reconnect.

QUICK TIPS

  • Left or right earbud can be used individually for music or calls. Simply select one and remove it from the case to connect.
  • Only one Bluetooth device can be connected at a time. Turn off Bluetooth on unwanted devices and turn on Bluetooth on the selected device to connect.
  • Dry the earbuds completely before placing them in the charging case to avoid damage to the case.

WARNING

Dry the earbuds completely before placing them in the charging case. If the earbuds are damp or wet, it will damage the charging case. Warranty is void if the charging case shows damage due to water/sweat.

ADDITIONAL WARNINGS

  • Avoid extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
  • Avoid dropping or crushing your headphones.
  • Earwax can accumulate in the earbuds and degrade sound quality. Gently remove wax with a cotton swab or other suitable tool to improve sound quality.
  • Try lowering the volume if you experience discomfort or pain, or stop use temporarily.
  • If you regularly feel discomfort when using this product, stop using it immediately and consult a doctor.
  • We recommend treating your headphones the same way you would treat a pair of expensive sunglasses, and store them in a safe place when not in use.
