IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ FIRST
Water Protection
For all watch categories, the following are prohibited:
- pressing buttons underwater;
- changing hands underwater;
- unscrewing the crown underwater;
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of the leather strap with water.
Watches are classified by grades (from I to V) according to their degree of water resistance. Check your watch's grade using the table below to determine its correct usage.
* Grade | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Skin Diving, Scuba Diving, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- I: Watches are not protected against water. Avoid contact with any moisture;
- II: WR (Water Resistant) means the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause any problems;
- III: With water resistance of 5 Bar (50 meters), watches can withstand water pressure as indicated by the value and can be used during showers and brief swimming;
- IV: Water resistance of 10 Bar (100 meters) means watches can be used during normal swimming and skin diving;
- V: Water resistance of 20 Bar (200 meters) means watches can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
When using the product in conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of this watch, and does not accept any claims from third parties.
General Notes
Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
Note on Screw-Lock Crown
Some water-resistant watch models are equipped with a screw-lock crown.
To pull out such a crown, you must unlock it by turning it in the direction shown in the figure. Do not apply excessive force when pulling out the crown. This may cause damage. [Diagram description: Watch with crown labeled "Crown", arrow indicating unlock direction].
Note that the watch becomes unprotected against water and moisture when the crown is pulled out. After completing any operations with the crown, return it to its original position and lock it.
