Thank you for selecting the UNI-T E Series Infrared Thermal Imaging Device. Please read this manual carefully before use, especially the section on "Safety Precautions". Keep this manual with the device for future reference.

This warranty excludes damage from accident, negligence, misuse, modification, contamination, or improper handling. Uni-Trend is not liable for special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some regions may not allow these limitations.
Please remove the battery pack and charge it separately for optimal charging efficiency.

2. Structure
The device has the following components:

3. Display instructions
The display resolution is 640x480. The screen shows temperature readings, markup tools, and other relevant information.
Markup tools include:

4. Power on-off
To turn on: Long press the "Power button" for 5 seconds.
To turn off: Long press the "Power button" for 5 seconds.
The device will automatically shut down if the battery is low.
5. Instruction of configuration menu
Access the main menu by pressing the "SET key" on the home page. Use the "Left/right key" to navigate between sub-menus and "SET key" to enter a selected sub-menu. Use "Left/right key" to select settings within a sub-menu, and "SET key" to confirm. Press the "Back key" to return to the previous level or save settings.
Main menu options: Camera mode, Units, Parameters, HI/LO Alert, QR CODE, Language, Settings.
Sub-menu options typically include: Single Shot, Time-lapse, Temperature, Distance, etc.
6. Marking tool
Use the "SET key" to access the main menu, then select "Marking tool". Use the "Left/right key" to choose options like "Center point". Press "SET key" to activate or deactivate the marking tool. The "Center point" cursor appears when activated.
7. Image mode
Access the "Image mode" option from the main menu. Select from "Thermal imaging", "Visible light", "Fusion", and "Picture in picture". In "Fusion" mode, adjust the fusion ratio and distance. In "Picture in picture" mode, adjust position and size. The "QR code" option allows manual entry or scanning of QR codes.
8. Swatches switching
From the main menu, select "Swatches Switch". Use the "Left/right key" to choose from seven available swatches: white hot, red hot, iron red, black hot, high rainbow, lava, and rainbow.
9. Temperature measuring tool
Select "Temperature measuring tool" from the main menu. Choose analysis objects like point, line, rectangle, or circle. Use "Left/right key" to select the target. Functions include select, move, stretch, compare, and delete. Temperature information is displayed on the left. For line analysis, a temperature curve is shown in the lower left corner.
Note: Up to five point, one line, and three rectangle/circle analysis objects can be added. The total number of objects cannot exceed six.
10. Vitta tool
Access "Vitta Tool" from the main menu. Select from six isothermal modes: Auto, Proportional, Down, Up, Interval, and Manual.
Pressing "SET key" can clear all analysis objects. You can save or load preset tools.
11. Photo view and edit
Enter the multimedia view by pressing the "Photo view key". Use "Up/Down key" to select photos/videos. Press "SET key" to view a picture and use "Left/right key" to switch between them.
The picture interface sub-menu allows editing of photo messages, including shooting time, emissivity, infrared resolution, remarks, and QR code. You can also perform second editing of marking tools, image modes, swatches, temperature measurement tools, and vitta tools.
12. Digital amplification & fusion ratio adjustment
Use the "Up key" to enlarge the screen, with magnification factors displayed in the upper right corner (1X, 2X, 4X). Use "Left/right key" to adjust the fusion ratio (0%-100%).
After editing, press "SET key" to open the status editing sub-menu. You can "Recover" to restore the original state, "Exit" without saving, or "Save" changes (either "Cover" the original or save as "New").
13. System setup
Access "System setup" from the main menu. Use "Up/Down key" to select settings like Camera mode, Units, Parameters, Alarm, QR CODE, Language, Date and time, Wi-Fi, USB mode, Brightness, Automatic Shutdown, Factory reset, and About. Press "SET key" to enter sub-menus for adjustments.
13.1 Camera mode
Select "Camera mode" from the Settings menu. Choose between "Single Shot" and "Time-lapse" (with adjustable interval).
13.2 Units
Select "Units" from the Settings menu. Adjust temperature units (°C, K, °F). Distance units cannot be changed.
13.3 Parameters
Select "Parameter" from the Settings menu. Adjust emissivity, ambient temperature, reflected temperature, relative humidity, object distance, and temperature scale.
- UTi720E: Low temperature scale: -20°C~150°C, High temperature scale: 0~550°C.
- UTi730E: Object distance parameter adjustment is available.
13.4 Alarm
Select "Alarm" from the Settings menu. Configure high temperature alarm, low temperature alarm, and LED alarm. Set alarm values using "Up/Down key". When temperature exceeds the set high alarm value, a red triangle appears. When below the low alarm value, a green triangle appears.
13.5 QR CODE
Select "QR CODE" from the Settings menu. Manage QR codes, including changing names, resetting, and classifying pictures by QR code.
13.6 Language
Select "Language" from the Settings menu. Choose from English, French, German, Spanish, or Russian.
13.7 Date and time
Select "Date and Time" from the Settings menu. Adjust time format, date, and time using "Up/Down" and "Left/Right keys".
13.8 Wi-Fi
Select "Wi-Fi" from the Settings menu. Enable the hotspot, and set the Hotspot ID and password.
13.9 USB mode
Select "USB mode" from the Settings menu. Choose between "USB storage" and "USB Projection".
13.10 Brightness
Select "Brightness" from the Settings menu. Adjust screen brightness from 1 to 100.
13.11 Automatic Shutdown
Select "Automatic Shutdown" from the Settings menu. Choose from Off, 5, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes.
13.12 Factory reset
Select "Factory reset" from the Settings menu. Confirm to reset the device to factory settings. The device will shut down and restore settings upon manual restart.
13.13 Formatting
Select "Formatting" from the Settings menu. If an SD card is present, confirm to format it. If no SD card is detected, an "Unknown" message will appear.
13.14 About
Select "About" from the Settings menu to view product information, including model, thermal resolution, hardware version, system version, SN, and SD capacity.
14. SD Card
The device supports microSD cards for image storage. Periodically copy backup data and clear the card to maintain operating speed. Avoid hot-swapping the SD card. If removed during viewing, a "SD card is lost" message will appear.
15. Maintain
Clean the housing with a damp cloth or mild soapy solution. Do not use grinders, isopropyl alcohol, or solvents on the lens/window.
16. Safety precautions
Read instructions carefully for accurate measurements. Do not use the device in flammable, explosive, humid, or corrosive environments. Do not use if damaged. Obtain actual temperature by referring to radiation coefficient information; otherwise, measurements may be inaccurate.
Avoid aiming the lens at bright light sources like the sun to prevent damage to the lens or detector. Do not use in extreme temperatures, dust, or high humidity. Refer to the product parameter table for specific environmental requirements.
The system supports USB charging. For improved efficiency, remove and charge the battery pack separately.
17. FCC Compliance statement
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: no harmful interference, and acceptance of any received interference. Unauthorized modifications may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a commercial environment. If operated in a residential area, it may cause interference, requiring the user to correct it at their own expense.
