Thank you for selecting the brand new UNI-T E Series Infrared Thermal Imaging Device. In order to use this product correctly, please read the full text of this manual carefully before using, especially the part about "Safety Precautions".
If you have read the full text of this manual, it is recommended to keep this manual properly with the accessories of the thermal imaging device or in a place where you can refer to it at any time for future use.
Limited warranty and limited liability
Our company guarantees that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date you purchase it. For the warranty, it does not cover the damage caused by accident, negligence, misuse, modification, contamination or abnormal operation or handling etc. The Distributor shall not be entitled to give any other guarantee in the name of the Company. If you need warranty service during the warranty period, please contact the authorized service center nearby to obtain the product returning authorization information; and then send the product to the service center with the product problem description.
This guarantee is the only compensation you can get. Otherwise, the Company does not provide any warranty, express or implied, like the implied warranty for the particular purpose. Meanwhile, the Company shall not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damage or loss arising out of any cause or conjecture whatsoever. For some states or countries do not allow limitations on implied warranties and incidental or consequential damages, the above limitations and requirements may not apply to you.

2. Structure
The device has various components labeled with numbers. The following table describes each part:

3. Display instructions
The display resolution is 640x480. The screen shows various indicators and tools:

4. Power on-off
To turn on the device, long press the "Power button" for 5 seconds. If the device has not been used for a long time or the measurement environment has changed, it may take up to 30 minutes for it to be ready for temperature measurement.
To turn off the device, long press the "Power button" for 5 seconds. A low power reminder will appear when the battery is low. The device needs to be turned off to charge. If the device remains in low power mode, it will automatically shut down.
5. Instruction of configuration menu
The device features a main menu and sub-menus for configuration. To access the main menu, press the "SET key" on the home page. Use the "Left/right key" to select sub-menus and the "SET key" to enter them. Use "Left/right key" to select sub-menu settings, and "SET key" to confirm. Press the "Back key" to return to the previous level and save settings, or press it again to return to the home page.
The main menu allows access to various functions, and sub-menus provide specific settings for options like Camera mode, Units, Parameters, Alarm, QR CODE, Language, Date and time, Wi-Fi, USB mode, Brightness, Automatic Shutdown, Factory reset, and About.
6. Marking tool
To use temperature tracking or display functions (center point, high/low temperature), press the "SET key" to open the main menu. Select "Marking tool" using the "Left/right key" and press "SET key" to enter its sub-menu. Use the "Left/right key" to select options like "Center point". When the center point cursor appears (indicated by crosshairs), the function is active. Pressing "SET key" again will deactivate it.
7. Image mode
From the main menu, select "Image mode" using the "Left/right key" and press "SET key" to access image mode options. You can switch between different modes like "Thermal imaging", "Fusion", and "Picture in picture". In "Fusion mode", the fusion ratio can be adjusted using the "Left/right key", and fusion distance with the "Up/down key". In "Picture in picture mode", the position and size can be adjusted via "Move" or "Stretch" options using the "Left/right key". The "QR code" option allows manual entry or scanning of QR codes.
8. Swatches switching
In the main menu, select "Swatches Switch" using the "Left/right key". Choose from seven available swatches: white hot, red hot, iron red, black hot, high rainbow, lava, and rainbow.
9. Temperature measuring tool
From the main menu, select "Temperature measuring tool" using the "Left/right key". You can select analysis object types such as point, line, rectangle, and circle measurements. These can be added to the home page. The tool allows clearing all functions or using preset tools. Pressing "SET key" adds measurement objects. A sub-menu "Select the target" appears, offering functions like select, move, stretch (for point measurements), compare (for point measurements), and delete. Temperature information is displayed on the left. For line measurements, a temperature curve is shown in the lower left corner.
After clearing functions, you can save current analysis objects as preset tools by selecting "Save Tool" and pressing "OK". If no objects are present, selecting "Read Tool" will load previously saved presets.
Note: The device supports a maximum of five point measurement objects, one line object, and three rectangular/circular objects, for a total of six analysis objects. Exceeding this limit will display an "Out number" message.
10. Vitta tool
Access "Vitta Tool" from the main menu using the "Left/right key". Six isothermal modes are available: Auto isothermal, Proportional isothermal, Down isothermal, Up isothermal, Interval isothermal, and Manual isothermal.
11. Photo view and edit
Press the "Photo view key" from the main page to enter the multimedia view. Use "Up/Down key" to select photos/videos or folders, then press "SET key" to enter. Use "Up/Down/Left/Right key" to select a picture, press "SET key" to view it, and "Left/right key" to switch between pictures.
Pressing "SET key" opens the picture interface sub-menu. Use "Left/right key" to select photo information. For UTi720E, this includes shooting time, modification time, emissivity, infrared resolution, ambient temperature, humidity, reflection distance, and QR code. For UTi730E, it includes shooting time, modification time, emissivity, infrared resolution, QR code, and remarks. You can also modify remarks, perform state editing (re-editing marking tools, image modes, etc.), manage QR codes (add, delete, classify), and delete photos.
Note: After editing, press "SET key" to open the status editing sub-menu. Use "Up key" to select "Recovery" and "SET key" to restore the picture to its initial state. Pressing "Back key" prompts "Exit or Not". Selecting "Exit" closes the page. Selecting "Save" prompts "Cover or not?". "Cover" saves changes to the original image, while "New" saves a new copy. After adding a QR code, pressing "Back key" prompts "Save and exit". Cancelling will not save the QR code. QR codes added here are not saved to the existing QR code category; modifications should be done in Settings.
12. Digital amplification & fusion ratio adjustment
Press the "Up key" on the home page to enlarge the screen. The magnification factor (1X, 2X, 4X) is displayed in the upper right corner. Use "Left/right key" to adjust the fusion degree from 0% to 100%.
13. System setup
Press "SET key" to enter the sub-menu. Use "Up/Down key" to select settings like Camera mode, Units, Parameters, Alarm, QR CODE, Language, Date and time, Wi-Fi, USB mode, Brightness, Automatic Shutdown, Factory reset, and About. Press "SET key" to enter the secondary setting page. Press "Back key" to return to the previous menu level, and again to return to the main menu.
13.1 Camera mode
In the Settings menu, select "Camera mode" and press "SET key". Use "Up/Down key" to choose between "Photo" and "Auto photo". For automatic photo taking, set the interval (10s-1000s optional).
13.2 Units
In the Settings menu, select "Units" and press "SET key". Use "Up/Down key" to select temperature or distance. For temperature, select units (°C, K, °F). Distance units cannot be changed.
13.3 Parameters
UTi720E: In the Settings menu, select "Parameter" and press "SET key". Use "Up/Down key" to select emissivity, ambient temperature, reflected temperature, relative humidity, object distance, or temperature scale. Press "SET key" to select a parameter and "Up/Down key" to change its value. For object distance, press "SET key" to enter a sub-menu for modification.
Low temperature scale: -20℃~150℃
High temperature scale: 0~550℃
Note: Switching temperature scales takes about 20 seconds. Wait for stability before proceeding.
UTi730E: In the Settings menu, select "Parameter" and press "SET key". Use "Up/Down key" to select emissivity or object distance, then press "SET key" to change. Use "Up/Down key" to select values. For object distance, press "SET key" to enter a sub-menu for modification.
Default Values: Emissivity 0.95, Ambient temperature 25°C, Reflected temperature 25°C, Relative humidity 55%RH, Object distance 0.25m.
Note: Emissivity and reflected temperature are critical. Use default values if unsure.
13.4 Alarm
In the Settings menu, select "Alarm" and press "SET key". Choose between high temperature alarm, low temperature alarm, or LED alarm using "Up/Down key". For high/low temperature alarms, set the alarm value using "Up/Down key" and "SET key".
UTi720E: -20°C-550°C (optional)
UTi730E: -40℃~400℃ (optional)
When the measured temperature exceeds the high temperature alarm value, a red positive triangle appears. When it falls below the low temperature alarm value, a green inverted triangle appears.
13.5 QR CODE
In the Settings menu, select "QR CODE" and press "SET key". Use "Up/Down key" to select QR Codes and "SET key" to enter the page for changing QR CODE name/code.
13.6 Language
In the Settings menu, select "Language" and use "Up/Down key" to choose English, French, German, Spanish, or Russian.
13.7 Date and time
In the Settings menu, select "Date and Time" and press "SET key". Use "Up/Down key" to change the time system, date, or time. For date changes, use "Left/Right key" to select year/month/day and "Up/Down key" to select the specific date.
13.8 Wi-Fi
In the Settings menu, select "Wi-Fi" and press "SET key". Press "SET key" again to open the hotspot. Use "Down key" to select the Hotspot ID and password, then set them up using "SET key".
13.9 USB mode
In the Settings menu, select "USB mode" and press "SET key". Use "Up/Down key" to choose between "USB storage" and "USB Projection", then press "SET key" to select.
13.10 Brightness
In the Settings menu, select "Brightness" and use "Up/Down key" to adjust the intensity from 1 to 100.
13.11 Automatic Shutdown
In the Settings menu, select "Automatic Shutdown" and use "Up/Down key" to choose an interval: Off, 5, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes.
13.12 Factory reset
In the Settings menu, select "Factory reset" and press "SET key". A prompt "Shutdown and factory reset" will appear. Selecting "Yes" will shut down the device, and it will restore factory settings upon the next manual startup.
13.13 Formatting
In the Settings menu, select "Formatting" and press "SET key". If an SD card is present, a "format SD card" message will appear. Selecting "Yes" formats the card. If no SD card is detected, "Unknown" will be displayed.
13.14 About
In the Settings menu, select "About" and press "SET key" to enter "Product Information". Here you can view the product model, infrared resolution, hardware version, system version, SN, SD capacity, and other related product details.
14. SD Card
The device supports microSD cards for storing images. To prevent performance issues from excessive image data, periodically back up and clear the card. To avoid data abnormalities from hot swapping, do not remove or insert the SD card repeatedly. It is recommended to do so when the device is powered off. Removing the card while viewing or operating an image will display a "SD card is lost" message.
15. Maintain
Clean the device housing with a damp cloth or mild soapy solution. Do not use grinders, isopropyl alcohol, or solvents to clean the lens or window.
16. Safety precautions
To ensure accurate measurement results, please read the instructions carefully. Use the product according to the instructions to avoid voiding the warranty. Do not use the instrument in flammable, explosive, humid, or corrosive environments. Do not use a damaged or modified instrument, as this can lead to incorrect results. Obtain actual temperature readings by referring to the radiation coefficient information; otherwise, measurements may be inaccurate.
Avoid aiming the lens at strong light sources like the sun to prevent damage to the lens or thermal imaging detector. Do not use the product in extreme hot, cold, dusty, or high-humidity environments. Refer to the product parameter table for specific temperature and humidity requirements.
The system supports USB charging. For improved efficiency, it is recommended to remove the battery pack and charge it separately.
17. FCC Compliance statement
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) the device must not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
