Understanding the layout of buttons and ports on your TV is essential for setup and connectivity.
TV Back View (32" Model)
The back of the 32" TV features the following ports and controls:
- STANDBY/INPUT Button: Located on the back, typically on the right side when facing the screen. This button controls power and input selection.
- HDMI 3 Port: For connecting HDMI devices.
- HDMI 2 Port: For connecting HDMI devices.
- RESET Button: A small recessed button for factory reset.
- AV IN (VIDEO, L, R): Composite video and stereo audio input (Yellow for video, White for left audio, Red for right audio).

STEP 1. Attach the TV Stand or Wall Mount Bracket
Attach the TV Stand
Follow these steps to install the TV stand:
- Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, flat surface to prevent damage or scratches.
- Secure the legs to the TV using the provided screws. For 32" models, use ST4×12F screws. For 40"/43" models, use ST4×14F screws.
Attach the Wall Mount Bracket (Not Included)
Before beginning, ensure you have the third-party manufacturer's instructions and do the following:
- Place the TV face down on a flat, clean, safe, and cushioned surface.
- Remove the TV stand if it is already attached.
- Place the spacers (not included) in the corresponding bracket holes.
CAUTION: When attaching the mount, use the spacers (provided by the third-party manufacturer) between the TV and the bracket.
NOTE: To prevent internal damage and ensure secure mounting, use fixing screws (not provided) that are 8.0 - 10.0 mm (for 32"/40" models) or 9.5 - 11.5 mm (for 43" models) in length, measured from the attaching surface of the mounting hook.
The wall mount hole pattern (VESA) is 200 × 200 mm, and the wall mount screw size is M6.
The diameter and length of the screws differ depending on the wall mount bracket model. If you have additional questions, contact the wall-mount manufacturer or retailer.
STEP 2. Connect Devices to Your TV
Ensure you select the correct cables for the ports and connect them securely. Loose connections can affect picture quality.

STEP 3. Begin Using Your Remote
Power up your TV remote by inserting the included AAA batteries.
CAUTION:
- Dispose of batteries in a designated disposal area. Do not throw them into fire.
- Remove old batteries immediately to prevent leakage.
- Remove batteries if not using the remote for a long time.
- If battery chemicals touch skin, wash immediately. Clean battery compartment if batteries leak.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (NiCd or NiMH) batteries.
- If your remote gets warm/hot, discontinue use and contact customer support at www.hisense-usa.com/support/.
Buttons on Your TV Remote
The remote is designed to be intuitive for TV watching and menu navigation. Below are the key buttons and their functions:
- POWER ⏻: Turns your TV on or off.
- BACK ↩: Returns to the previous screen.
- OK: Selects an option from a menu.
- DIRECTIONAL KEYPAD (▲▼◀▶): Navigates menus. ◀ will bring up the antenna TV channel list or Smart Guide. ◀ and ▶ are used in Live TV Pause to select scenes.
- HOME ?: Displays your TV's Home screen. Stops playback if watching TV or streaming content.
- VOLUME UP ➕: Increases volume or un-mutes sound.
- VOLUME DOWN ➖: Decreases volume.
- MUTE ?: Mutes or un-mutes the sound.
- SLEEP ☾: Sets the sleep timer.
- VIEW MORE OPTIONS *: Gives easy access to picture settings, display options, and more. Press * on any screen to access options.
- CHANNEL RECALL/JUMP BACK AND INSTANT REPLAY ↩: Changes to the previous channel when viewing antenna or cable (no set-top box) programming. Jumps back one position in video when viewing streaming content. Backspaces one letter during menu entries, such as Search.
- REWIND ⏪: Rewinds streaming video. Jumps to the previous audio track or selection. Jumps up one page in menus. Also used to rewind paused live TV using Live TV Pause.
- PLAY/PAUSE ▶⏸: Pauses or resumes playback. Also used to activate and use the Live TV Pause feature when a 16 GB USB drive is attached to the TV.
- FAST FORWARD ⏩: Fast forwards streaming video. Jumps to the next audio track or selection. Jumps down one page in menus. Also used to fast forward paused live TV using Live TV Pause.
- STREAMING CHANNELS SHORTCUTS (e.g., NETFLIX, PANDORA, YOUTUBE, HBO NOW, FUBO, HULU): When pressed:
- If the channel is not added, displays a sign-up page.
- If the channel is added, displays the channel's home page.
- If the TV is off, turns on your TV and displays the channel's home page.

Using Your Cable Set-top Box or Satellite Receiver Remote as a 'Universal' Remote
If you prefer to use your Cable Set-top Box or Satellite Receiver Remote as a 'Universal Remote', refer to its manual for programming instructions. Codes for Hisense Roku TV and common universal remotes can be found at www.roku.com/universalremote.
Turn on the TV and Hisense Roku TV Text to Speech Functionalities
Turn on the TV
Connect the power cord to the back of your TV and plug it into a power outlet. Press the Power ⏻ button on the remote to turn on the TV. A startup screen displaying the Hisense • Roku TV logo will appear. Choose "Set up for home use" to access all TV features and maximize Eco Save. Retailers should select "Set up for store use" for display purposes.
Text-to-Speech and Video Description Functionalities
Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Video Description help navigate menus and provide audio descriptions for programs. TTS converts written text to voice text for visually impaired users. Video Description adds audio narration to describe main visual elements.
Enable Functions:
- Press the Home button to access the Menu.
- Select Settings to enter the Settings Menu.
- Select Accessibility > Audio Guide to turn Audio Guide 'On' or 'Off'.
When Audio Guide is 'On', menu contents are broadcasted, and introductions to relevant programs can be heard.

STEP 4. Complete the Guided Setup
Connect your Hisense Roku TV to your home network:
- Sign in to your wireless network: Your TV will automatically detect wireless networks. Have your network name and password ready and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Activate your Roku account: From your smartphone, tablet, or computer, go to www.roku.com/link and enter the code displayed on your TV screen. Roku accounts are free. While a valid credit card is not required, providing it makes renting and purchasing entertainment from the Roku Channel Store faster.
NOTE: Roku does not charge for activation support – beware of scams.
If you are not ready to connect to a wireless network, you can still use the TV to view live broadcast channels via antenna, Set Top Box (STB), or Satellite.
Complete the rest of the on-screen prompts, and setup is done. Congratulations!
NOTE: Once connected, your TV will automatically update with the latest software. Unlike other TVs, your new Hisense Roku TV automatically receives regular software updates in the background when connected to the Internet, providing a better experience. STEP 5. Personalize Your Home Screen
Easily switch between streaming channels and inputs.
The Home screen menu provides access to streaming entertainment, search for content, and settings. The grid of tiles allows visual selection of favorite streaming channels and connected devices (DVR, game console, antenna, set-top box). You can rearrange the order of tiles by highlighting the tile and pressing the * button on your Roku TV remote.
STEP 6. Optional: Watching Local Broadcast TV
To scan for channels if you connected your TV to an antenna or cable wall jack (no box):
- When the setup wizard is complete, select the ANTENNA icon (represented by an antenna symbol) from the home screen.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Whenever you want to watch local broadcast TV, select the ANTENNA icon.
- Connect a USB memory stick to enjoy photos, music, and movies, or to enable Live TV Pause. Live TV Pause is only available on the Antenna input of your Roku TV and requires a dedicated USB 2.0 compatible flash drive with at least 16 GB of storage to record video.
