SALTO recommends the use of a mortise lock with a maximum 4° pre-turn.
Instruction: "Use the longest possible socket."
Installation Steps
Step 1: Select Handing
Diagram shows a spindle being inserted into the lock mechanism and secured. Multilingual labels indicate 'PUSH' (English), 'POUSSEZ' (French), 'PULSAR' (Spanish), 'DUW' (Dutch).
Step 2: Spindle Insertion
Diagram shows the spindle passing through the door and being secured with a retaining clip or screw. An inset shows a close-up of the securing mechanism.
Step 3: Attach External Escutcheon
Diagram shows the external escutcheon with the handle being attached to the door. An inset shows a 'NOT OK' scenario with incorrect alignment [cross symbol] and the correct alignment.
Step 4: Attach Internal Escutcheon
Diagram shows the internal escutcheon with the handle being attached to the door.
Step 5: Mount Plate and Secure
Diagram shows the mounting plate being positioned and secured with screws.
Step 6: Insert Batteries
Diagram shows the battery compartment being opened and LR03 AAA batteries being inserted, with polarity indicators [plus symbol], [minus symbol].
Step 7: Fit Internal Unit
Diagram shows the internal escutcheon being fitted onto the door mechanism.
Step 8: Attach External Handle
Diagram shows the external handle being attached and secured with screws labeled 'a' and 'b'.
Step 9: Final Securing and Programming
Diagram shows the final securing screw (TORX 20) being inserted. A critical warning is displayed in multiple languages: "AT THIS POINT DO NOT CLOSE THE DOOR PROGRAM THE LOCK FIRST".
Battery Change: Multilingual labels for 'Battery change' are present. The diagram shows the battery compartment and indicates LR03 AAA batteries. A note indicates 'MAX.40"' for battery replacement/change time.
