Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare Panels
Attach the metal brackets (CR and CL) to the main side panels using screws. The diagrams show two types of brackets, labeled CR and CL, with specific screw types indicated. Ensure the brackets are oriented correctly as shown.
Step 2: Assemble Main Frame
Begin assembling the main body of the chest of drawers. This involves connecting the side panels, bottom panel, and back panel. Dowels and screws are used to join these components. The diagrams illustrate inserting dowels into pre-drilled holes and then connecting the panels.
Step 3: Connect Side and Bottom Panels
Insert dowels into the designated holes on the side panels and the bottom panel. Align the panels and push them together. A 'click' sound indicates a secure connection. Repeat for all relevant connections.
Step 4: Attach Back Panel
Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side and bottom panels. Ensure it is fully seated.
Step 5: Secure Frame
Use screws to further secure the assembled frame. The diagrams show screws being driven into pre-drilled holes to reinforce the structure.
Step 6: Attach Drawer Runners to Side Panels
Attach the drawer runners (CL and CR) to the inside of the side panels using screws. Ensure they are aligned correctly and parallel to the bottom edge.
Step 7: Attach Top Panel
Place the top panel onto the assembled frame. Align it correctly and secure it using the provided fasteners, likely screws or dowels.
Step 8: Secure Top Panel
Continue securing the top panel to the frame. The diagram shows inserting fasteners from the top into the side panels.
Step 9: Attach Drawer Fronts
Attach the drawer fronts to the assembled drawer boxes. This typically involves aligning the front panel and securing it with screws or cam locks from the inside of the drawer box. A 'click' indicates a secure attachment.
Step 10: Secure Drawer Fronts
Ensure the drawer fronts are firmly attached by driving screws through the inside of the drawer box into the front panel.
Step 11: Attach Base/Legs
Assemble the base structure that supports the legs. This involves attaching horizontal bars to the bottom of the main frame using screws and dowels. Then, attach the legs to this base structure.
Step 12: Attach Top Support
Attach the top support structure to the main cabinet. This involves inserting dowels and securing with screws, similar to the base assembly.
Step 13: Secure Top Support
Further secure the top support structure using screws and fasteners. The diagram shows screws being inserted from the top into the side panels.
Step 14: Attach Legs
Attach the legs to the assembled base. The diagram shows screwing the legs into place, using a wrench to tighten them.
Step 15: Attach Drawer Runners to Drawers
Attach the corresponding drawer runners to the sides of the assembled drawer boxes using screws. Ensure they are correctly positioned.
Step 16: Insert Drawers
Slide the assembled drawers into the chest of drawers, aligning the runners.
Wall Mounting Instructions
The provided screws and plugs are suitable for most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C) walls, use screws without plugs. If you are uncertain about the correct wall type or fasteners, seek professional advice.
General Wall Mounting Procedure:
- Identify the correct wall type (A, B, or C).
- Drill holes in the wall using the appropriate drill bit size (Ø 8 mm for most walls, Ø 3 mm for solid wood).
- Insert wall plugs if required for the wall type.
- Attach the provided bracket to the wall using the appropriate screws.
- Secure the furniture to the wall bracket using the tip-over restraint strap and fasteners. Ensure the strap is taut and securely attached to both the furniture and the wall bracket.
Specific Wall Type Guidance:
Type A (Solid Walls): Use the provided screws and plugs. Drill an 8mm hole, insert the plug, and screw the bracket into the plug.
Type B (Hollow Walls): Use the provided screws and plugs. Drill an 8mm hole, insert the plug, and screw the bracket into the plug. Ensure the plug expands correctly within the hollow wall.
Type C (Solid Wood): Use the provided screws without plugs. Drill a 3mm hole and screw directly into the solid wood.
Drawer Assembly
Step 19: Assemble Drawer Box
Connect the drawer sides, back, and bottom. Insert dowels and secure with screws. A 'click' indicates a secure connection.
Step 20: Attach Drawer Bottom
Slide the drawer bottom panel into the grooves of the assembled drawer sides and back.
Step 21: Attach Drawer Slides to Drawer
Attach the drawer slide components to the sides of the drawer boxes using screws. Ensure correct orientation and alignment.
Step 22: Attach Drawer Front
Align the drawer front with the drawer box and secure it from the inside using screws.
Step 23: Secure Drawer Front
Ensure the drawer front is firmly attached by driving screws through the inside of the drawer box into the front panel.
Step 24: Attach Drawer Runners to Cabinet
Attach the cabinet-side drawer runners to the interior of the chest of drawers using screws. Ensure they are level and parallel.
Step 25: Insert Drawers
Carefully slide the assembled drawers into the cabinet, aligning the runners on the drawers with the runners inside the cabinet. The diagram shows a screw being used to secure the runner to the drawer, with a prohibition symbol over a power drill, indicating manual screwing is preferred for this step.
Step 26: Final Check
The final diagram shows the assembled chest of drawers with drawers inserted. It includes a safety warning icon indicating caution and a general warning symbol.
