Warranty Certificate for Electric Home Appliances

Dear Customer, Congratulations on your new electric appliance from IKEA. This Warranty Certificate is your document of reference for obtaining a warranty in connection with this product. The warranty will also be given upon presentation of the warranty sticker you received in the store with the details of your purchase and subject to the contents of the Warranty Certificate.

1. Definitions of terms in this certificate:

"Product" - A new electric, electronic, or gas appliance destined for residential use.

"Breakdown" - A fault, flaw, or breakdown.

"Days" - Does not include Saturdays or holidays.

2. Warranty terms

The warranty period according to this certificate is two years from the date of purchase of the product (hereinafter: "the period of the warranty").

IKEA will repair any breakdown discovered in the product during the period of the warranty, either independently or via a party on its behalf, at its discretion. If, as part of the repair, the product needs to be replaced in whole or in part, the replacement will be made free of charge.

If, as a condition for operating the product, training and/or installation by IKEA or by a party on its behalf is/are required, the warranty will also apply to the installation, and solely on condition that it is performed by IKEA or a party on its behalf. The installation and/or training will be performed within 7 days of the product being supplied or the day of your request that we supply you with this service, and solely on condition that a year has not passed since the date you purchased the product and until the date of the request. If you receive the service of installation/training, the product warranty will only apply in case the product has not been used until the date of the installation and was stored in appropriate conditions that meet IKEA requirements.

3. Manner of repair

In the framework of this warranty, IKEA will return the product to its original condition prior to the breakdown. If, during the period of the warranty, there is a need for replacement parts, these replacement parts will be new and original. If it is not possible to repair the product or replace the parts, IKEA will supply a new, identical product or one of similar type, quality, and price; alternately IKEA will return the payment made for it, at its sole discretion.

After the repair or the replacement IKEA will provide a written certificate detailing the nature of the repair or the replacement.

4. Warranty restrictions

IKEA will be fully exempt from its obligations according to this certificate if the cause of the breakdown is damage caused by the consumer.

5. Replacement parts

Until the end of the period of the warranty, IKEA will supply the replacement parts needed to repair the product. If the cost of the product exceeded 300 ILS, IKEA will supply replacement parts to repair the product for an additional year after the end of the warranty period (for a total of three years), unless established otherwise by law.

6. Conditions in which IKEA will charge a fee

IKEA is entitled to demand compensation for a repair made at the consumer's request or for the delivery or for the replacement of the product, if it is proven, before the repair, that the breakdown occurred due to one of the following reasons:

Despite the foregoing, the following products will be repaired at the consumer's home at the listed times (regarding times – and solely on condition that the breakdown prevents the primary use that the products are intended for): a refrigerator, a freezer (within a day from the time of the call), a kitchen range (within two days from the time of the call), an oven, a dishwasher (within three days from the time of the call), or products which are impossible to transport due to their size, weight, or volume or due to being permanently connected. If these products need to be repaired in the laboratory, IKEA will transport them to and from the laboratory at no charge.
