Part A - General Terms and Conditions
As an IKEA Family member, you will have access to exciting benefits, rewards, and more to help you save money, time, and fuss!
Your IKEA Family Account
1. Terms and Conditions: These terms form a legally binding contract between you (the "Customer") and IKEA Pty Limited ("IKEA", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your access to and use of the IKEA Family Loyalty Program in Australia, your IKEA Family Account, the IKEA Family card, and any associated benefits or rewards. By signing up and participating, you accept these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility: To hold an IKEA Family Account, you must:
- Be aged 18 years or over.
- Have a current Australian address.
- Have a verifiable mobile number.
- Have a verifiable email address.
Each email address can only be associated with one IKEA Family Account.
3. Updating your details: It is your responsibility to provide accurate, current, and complete information (including name, verifiable email, and mobile number) and to keep IKEA updated of any changes.
4. Membership card: For environmental consciousness, physical cards are no longer issued; only digital cards are available. Previously issued physical cards remain usable but will not be replaced.
5. Present your membership details: Your IKEA Family membership details or card must be presented to be eligible for benefits and rewards. IKEA reserves the right to refuse benefits if you cannot be identified as a member.
6. Access to your IKEA Family Account: Membership is non-transferable and for your direct use only. You must not share your membership with third parties, register multiple memberships, or use it for reselling IKEA products or services.
7. Personal Information: IKEA will collect and use your personal information to administer your Account, in accordance with the IKEA Privacy Policy. This includes tracking engagement and purchasing behaviours to ensure content relevance.
8. Changes and Modifications: IKEA may, at its sole discretion, terminate IKEA Family, cancel an IKEA Family Account, or refuse to issue an IKEA Family card.
9. Notice: IKEA will notify you of changes to these Terms and Conditions. Minor amendments will be posted on the IKEA Family webpage. Significant amendments impacting you will be notified via email at least 30 days in advance. Urgent changes due to legal or operational reasons will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
You have the right to cancel your IKEA Family Account at any time (see condition 13). Continued use after changes implies acceptance of updated Terms and Conditions.

Intellectual Property
11. IKEA ownership of intellectual property: All rights, title, and intellectual property related to IKEA Family, IKEA.com.au, and the IKEA brand belong to IKEA or its franchisor, Inter IKEA Systems B.V.
12. Use: You may not use or reproduce copyrighted material, trademarks, service marks, patents, or other proprietary rights.
Termination and Suspension of your IKEA Family Membership
13. Cancelling your IKEA Family Account: You can cancel your membership by deleting your IKEA Family Account in the settings. Benefits accrued at cancellation will be forfeited.
14. Termination or suspension of your IKEA Family Account: IKEA may terminate or suspend your membership by email notice if:
- You have not provided accurate, current, and complete information (including verifiable email and mobile number) within 30 days of creation.
- Your use of the membership is or is likely to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- IKEA suspects fraud, unauthorized use, abuse of services, benefits, or rewards, or any other unacceptable use.
- Your IKEA Family Account has been inactive for more than 3 years (defined as no interaction like logging in, opening emails, or making purchases recorded in your account).
15. Actions upon suspension: Upon suspension, your account may be blocked until recommended actions are taken to unblock it (e.g., providing verifiable email and mobile number for an unverified account).
16. Consequences of termination: Rights and obligations terminate, except for rights of action prior to termination, payment obligations, and sections on "Intellectual property", "Limitation of liability", and "Applicable law and disputes".
17. Rectifying breaches: IKEA reserves the right to cancel or reverse any reward voucher, reward keys, or other benefit issued if it was awarded due to a breach of terms, fraud, unauthorized use, or IKEA errors.
General
18. Limitation of liability: IKEA will not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from membership, use of benefits, or failure to comply with terms, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
19. Acceptable Use: Use your membership only for authorized purposes. Do not misuse or tamper with features, introduce harmful material (viruses, worms, etc.), or conduct denial-of-service attacks.
20. Responsibility for your IKEA Family Account: You are responsible for all use of your account and must keep your password confidential. Contact IKEA Australia Customer Centre immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
21. Verification: IKEA may verify rewards and revoke any reward or benefit obtained through tampering or not earned according to these Terms and Conditions.
22. Availability: Products and services are advertised in good faith, but unforeseen issues or demand may cause unavailability.
23. IKEA's right to correction: IKEA reserves the right to correct errors and adjust prices, including statutory charges.
24. Returns: Returns are subject to IKEA's standard policy and the Australian Consumer Law. Refunds will have the value of any discount, benefit, or reward deducted.
25. Applicable law and disputes: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales. Disputes will be resolved by the applicable courts in New South Wales.
Part B - Reward keys from IKEA Family
26. Reward keys: Earn "reward keys" on eligible IKEA product and service purchases in-store or online via IKEA.com.au or the IKEA App.
27. Eligibility and exclusions: Reward keys are limited to active IKEA Family members in Australia. Members of the IKEA Business Network or programs outside Australia cannot earn reward keys. Inactive accounts (no use for over 3 years) may require re-registration.
28. Earn and redeem reward keys: Refer to the IKEA Family webpage and IKEA Family Reward Keys Earn & Redeem Information Summary for details. IKEA will notify members of changes to rewards.
29. Limits on reward keys: Certain interactions may accrue reward keys only once per period (e.g., weekly), as detailed on the IKEA Family webpage.
30. Events: Only specified IKEA Family events qualify for free reward keys. Details will be provided when events are advertised. Members who register but do not attend will not receive keys.
31. Use your IKEA Family card or IKEA Family Account details: Reward keys are credited when you scan your membership card (in-store) or log in (online) at the time of purchase/interaction. Keys cannot be credited later.
32. Applying reward keys: Reward keys are credited to your IKEA Family Account within 48 hours of:
- Purchase of IKEA products.
- Completion of eligible orders (including transport/assembly services).
- Completion of each specific order type in multi-order transactions.
- Eligible interaction or confirmed attendance at an event/appointment.
33. Reward keys expiry: Reward keys expire 24 months after earning and are forfeited if unused.
34. Rewards: IKEA may change or introduce new rewards. Reward values may vary based on product prices. See IKEA Family webpage for details.
35. Unlocking rewards: Rewards are unlocked using your total reward keys via the IKEA.com.au website or IKEA App. Redeeming a reward provides a unique voucher code, sent via email and accessible in your account. Rewards can be redeemed in-store or online.
36. Voucher redemption period: Reward vouchers must be used within 90 days of claiming. Vouchers expire at 11:59 pm local Sydney time on the 90th day and are forfeited if unused.
37. Redemption: Vouchers cannot be used with other special offers, discounts, or IKEA Family/Business Network member offers unless stated otherwise.
38. Changes to reward keys: IKEA reserves the right to modify, suspend, block, or terminate the reward keys program, change eligible interactions, adjust key earning rates, add/remove rewards, or change key requirements.
39. Returns: If a product purchased with reward keys is returned, the earned reward keys will be deducted. If deduction exceeds your total, your balance may show negative. If a product bought with a voucher is returned, a refund equivalent to the price paid will be issued, with no replacement or refund of reward keys.
40. No transfer or cash redemption: Reward keys are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. They are for choosing and enjoying available rewards.
Part C: Other Benefits and Rewards

Cancellation and deletion of IKEA Family Account: If membership is cancelled or deleted, digital receipts and records will be deleted and cannot be used as proof of purchase for returns/exchanges. 4. System failure: IKEA may withdraw this feature due to system failure or technical issues. 5. Retain proof of purchase for warranty or change of mind: Customers are responsible for maintaining adequate proof of purchase and should not rely solely on digital receipts. 6. Exclude IKEA food and unpaid orders: This service excludes purchases from Swedish Restaurant, Cafe, Bistro, Food Market, or unpaid orders. |
Oops-assurance | Available through your IKEA Family Account | 1. Benefit: Members may exchange damaged products or replace damaged components if damage occurs during transportation or assembly by the member. The damaged component/product must be returned within 14 days of purchase. This is in addition to rights under IKEA policies and the Australian Consumer Law. 2.
