- Disconnect from main power before making any type of connection.
- Do not remove the cover for any reason. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
- Never operate this unit with the cover removed.
- Never plug this unit in to a dimmer pack.
- Always be sure to mount this unit in an area that will allow proper ventilation. Allow about 6" (15cm) between this device and a wall.
- Do not attempt to operate this unit if it has been damaged in any way.
- This unit is intended for indoor use only, and use of this product outdoors voids all warranties.
- During long periods of non-use, disconnect the unit's main power.
- Always mount this unit in a safe and stable manner.
- Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to the point at which they exit from the unit.
- Cleaning: The fixture should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer. See the Cleaning section of this manual for details.
- Heat: The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

- D. The fixture does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.
Battery Precautions
1. Handling of Batteries
1.1 Do Not Short Circuit the Battery
Never short circuit the battery, as doing so generates a very high current which can lead to overheating, electrolyte gel leakage, harmful fumes, or explosion. The LIR tabs short-circuit easily when placed on a conductive surface. Appropriate circuitry with an integrated PCM is employed to protect against accidental short circuit of the battery pack.
1.2 Mechanical Shock
Dropping the unit or subjecting it to impact, bending, or other stresses may cause failure or shorten the life of the LIR battery.
2. Other
2.1 Battery Connection
- Direct soldering of wire leads or devices to the battery is strictly prohibited.
- Lead tabs with pre-soldered wiring shall be spot welded to the batteries. Direct soldering may cause damage of components, such as the separator and insulator, as a result of heat build up.
2.2 Prevention of Short Circuit Within a Battery Pack
Insulative layers between the wiring and the batteries provide extra safety and protection against short circuits. The battery pack is constructed in such a way as to prevent a short circuit that would result in smoke or fire.
2.3 Do Not Disassemble the Batteries
Never disassemble the batteries, as doing so may cause an internal short circuit in the battery, resulting in harmful fumes, fire, explosion, or other hazards. Electrolyte gel is harmful, and any leakage of electrolyte gel should be addressed with extreme caution. Should the electrolyte gel come into contact with the skin or eyes, flush the area of contact with fresh water and seek medical attention immediately.
2.4 Do Not Expose the Battery to Heat or Fire
Never incinerate or dispose of the batteries in fire. This may cause an explosion.
2.5 Do Not Expose the Battery to Water or Other Liquids
Never soak or drop the batteries in liquids such as water, seawater, beverages, juices, coffee or any other liquids.
2.6 Battery Replacement
For battery replacement, please contact ADJ customer support (800) 322-6337.
2.7 Do Not Use a Damaged Battery
Should the battery be found to be damaged (including damage to the plastic casing, deformation of the battery package, odor of an electrolyte or other chemical, or leakage of the electrolyte gel, among other damages) DO NOT use the battery. A battery with an odor of electrolyte or a gel leakage should be placed away from fire or heat in order to reduce the risk of explosion.
3. Battery Storage
Store the battery at room temperature, with a charge of at least 50%. During long periods of storage, it is recommended that the battery be charged every 6 months. Doing so will prolong the life of the battery and will also ensure that the battery charge does not fall below the 30% mark.
4. Other Chemical Reactions
Because batteries utilize a chemical reaction, battery performance will deteriorate over time even if stored for a long period without being used. In addition, if usage conditions (charge, discharge, ambient temperature, etc.) are not maintained within specified ranges, the battery life expectancy may be shortened, or the device may be damaged by electrolyte gel leakage. If batteries cannot maintain a charge for long periods, even when charged correctly, this may indicate that replacement is required.
5. Battery Disposal
Please dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
Installation
The unit can be installed in two different ways:
- X-Clip: This allows installation on drop-down ceilings. Always ensure the unit is firmly fixed to avoid vibration and slipping during operation. The structure to which you are attaching the unit must be secure and able to support at least 10 times the unit's weight. Always use a safety cable rated to hold 12 times the unit's weight. The safety cable should go through the eye hole nut that holds the X-Clip base in place.
- Magnetic Base: To use the magnetic base, remove the X-Clip base by unscrewing the eye hole bolt. The fixture can then be stuck to anything magnetic.
The equipment must be installed by a professional, and it must be installed in a place where it is out of the general public's reach.
Color Filter Installation
The PinPoint Gobo comes with 4 color filters and a frost filter. To install any of the filters, follow these steps:
- Remove the gobo holder from the fixture.
- Remove the retainer ring that holds the gobo in place.
- Install the filter and replace the retainer ring.
Gobo Installation
The PinPoint Gobo comes with 4 replaceable gobos. To install a gobo, follow these directions:
- Remove the gobo holder by unscrewing the thumb screw located at the top of the fixture.
- Remove the retainer ring that holds the gobo in place.
- Install the gobo and replace the retainer ring.
Gobo Description
The document displays four circular metal gobos, each with a diameter of 25.8mm (viewable size 24mm). The patterns are:
- A swirling ornate pattern.
- A pattern of stars and dots.
- A stylized heart with leaves.
- A swirling abstract pattern.
Focus and Zoom Adjustment
The knobs located on the right side of the unit are used to adjust the focus and the zoom.
- For a tighter/narrower beam: Move the first/front knob to the front of the fixture, and move the second knob to the rear.
- For a wider beam: Move the first/front knob towards the middle of the fixture, and move the second knob towards the middle as well.
Adjust accordingly.

Photometric Chart, Battery Charging, and Cleaning
Photometric Chart
The document includes photometric data illustrating beam spread and lux levels at various distances for 12° and 25° beam angles with Cool White (CW) light. The chart displays beam diameter in meters and light intensity in LUX at distances from 0.5m to 5m.
[Description of the photometric chart diagram: A graph showing beam angles of 12° and 25° originating from a point. A table provides lux values for CW light at different distances for both 12° and 25° beam angles, along with the corresponding beam diameter in meters.]
Battery Charging
To recharge the battery, simply plug the included power supply into the socket on the side of the unit, and connect the other end to a power source whose voltage matches the unit's requirements. The battery requires approximately 6.5 hours to reach full charge with the unit powered off.
Cleaning
Due to fog residue, smoke, and dust, cleaning the internal and external optical lenses must be carried out periodically to optimize light output.
- Use normal glass cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe down the outer casing.
- Clean the external optics with glass cleaner and a soft cloth every 20 days.
- Always be sure to dry all parts completely before plugging the unit back in.
Cleaning frequency depends on the environment in which the fixture operates (i.e. smoke, fog residue, dust, dew).
