Two Power Supply Methods
1.1 Insert 4*AA 1.5V alkaline batteries
Description: The pump can be powered by 4 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included).
Instructions:
- Remove the battery tray back of the pump.
- Insert 4 brand new AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries as the marked "-" and "+" direction.
- Firmly reinstall the battery cover back into the pump.
Note:
- Firmly restore the battery cover to ensure water resistance.
- When the unit is idle, please remove the batteries and store them properly.
- Used batteries must be removed from the pump.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire, as this may cause them to explode or leak.
1.2 Plug in the USB cable for power
Description: The pump can also be powered via a USB cable (included).
Instructions:
- Plug in the USB cable (included).
- When the power is on, the [USB plug indicator symbol] indicator will light up.
Note:
- It is recommended to use USB power supply where available for a stable voltage and improved efficiency.
- When both power modes are used simultaneously, the USB cable power will be prioritized. When the USB cable is disconnected, the battery-powered mode will be activated.
2. Determine the Correct Placement
2.1 Water Level and Siphoning
Description: Please do not put the pump below the water level of the reservoir to effectively avoid the siphoning phenomenon. The siphoning effect can cause water leaking and over-watering problems.
Diagram:
[Diagram showing a pump placed below a water reservoir with a red cross (X) indicating incorrect placement, and a pump placed above the reservoir with a green check mark (✔️) indicating correct placement.]
2.2 Lift Length
Description: The lift length of the water pump is typically 2-3m. Because the water pipe cannot be placed 100% straight, we recommend that the vertical height between the plants and the pump should not exceed 2.5m.
Diagram:
[Diagram showing a pump with a vertical line labeled 'T'. On the left, 'T > 2.5m' with a red cross (X) indicating incorrect. On the right, 'T < 2.5m' with a green check mark (✔️) indicating correct.]
3. Connect the Hose Correctly
3.1 Cutting the Hose
Cut the hose according to the distance of the device, the plant, or your needs.
Diagram: [Illustration of scissors cutting a hose.]
3.2 Preparing the Hose End
Put the head of the hose into hot water for 10 seconds or put a little veggie oil on the end of the hose before connecting.
Diagram: [Illustration of a hose end being dipped into a cup labeled 'veggie oil' or hot water.]
3.3 Connecting to Inlet and Outlet
Connect the hose to the water inlet and outlet ports on the pump.
Diagram: [Illustration showing hose connections to the pump's inlet and outlet ports.]
3.4 Connecting the Check Valve
Connect the check valve to the water outlet near the pump. Using a check valve may reduce water pressure. The check valve must be installed correctly in accordance with the flow direction.
Diagram: [Illustration of a check valve being connected to a hose.]
3.5 Connecting to the Water Inlet with Filter
Insert the other end of the hose connected to the water inlet of the pump with the filter, and then put it into the water container.
Diagram: [Illustration showing the hose with a filter being placed into a water container.]
3.6 Connecting Barb Fittings
Use the appropriate barb fittings for your hose configuration:
- Straight Barb Fitting: If only the hose needs to be connected directly. [Illustration of a straight barb fitting.]
- "T" Barb Fitting: When you need to connect the hose while splitting to two ways. [Illustration of a T-shaped barb fitting.]
- Cross Barb Fitting: When you need to connect a hose while splitting to three ways. [Illustration of a cross-shaped barb fitting.]
3.7 Using Micro Drip Emitters
When water needs to be delivered directly to the soil, use the micro drip emitters.
Tips: Loosen the soil first, then insert the drips at least 3 inches deep, which will help water enter the plant roots.
Diagram: [Illustration of micro drip emitters inserted into soil.]
3.8 Installing Tubing End Caps
Please install Tubing End Caps after water flows out from the end of the pipe to avoid air in the pipe, ensuring water flows smoothly to the end of the pipe.

4. Installation Completed and Tested
- Press and hold the "OK" button to start the pump; water will be pumped to your plants.
- Check if there is any leakage in the connection part of the hose. If so, it means it is not tightened enough; please keep tightening until no leakage.
- After testing with no usage problems, proceed to the next step: WiFi setup and programming the watering schedule.

Note: During setting, if there is no operation within 8 seconds, the pump will automatically quit the setting mode. If "How Often" or "How Long" has been changed during setting, it will automatically start running as changed.
Setting Example:
- If you want to water your plants for 30 seconds at 9:00 AM every day, please set "HOW LONG" to 30s, "HOW OFTEN" to 1 day, and "DELAY" to 0. Set the device time to 9:00 AM. After setting is finished, the watering pump timer will work automatically every day at 9:00 AM to water for 30 seconds.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem | Possible Cause | Possible Solution |
---|---|---|
Uneven water flow | Too far away from pots and water containers or too long pipes can reduce the pump's pumping efficiency. | The further away the potted plant is from the pump, the weaker the water flow will become. Please use some clamps to hold the first few branches so that the mainstream water can be delivered quickly and for a long time. |
Hard to insert and remove water pipes | Because of the material, in order to make the pipe more durable. | Put the head of the hose into hot water for 10s or put a little veggie oil on the end of the hose before connecting. |
Watering schedule not on time | The lack of water at the inlet resulted in the plan not being implemented on time. | Check if there is a lack of water in the container at the inlet. (If there is a leakage, the schedule will not run). |
The water pump unexpectedly lost power and the plan was emptied. | The watering schedule needs to be reset. |
