VSTARCAM User Manual
Welcome to the VSTARCAM user manual. This guide will help you set up and use your VSTARCAM IP camera.
1. Software Download
- Go to www.eye4.so to download the APP.
- Search for "Eye4" in the App Store, Android Market, or other app stores.
- Scan the QR code below to download the application.

2. Register
- For the Android/iOS APP, click on "Register now" to create a username and password to finish registration.
- The APP also supports third-party account login, which does not require a separate registration.
3. Add Cameras to the Network
Note: If adding the camera via 'Scan QR code' fails, please choose 'Method Two' under the 'Others' option to add the camera.
3.1 Scan QR Code
Please power on the camera and wait for it to reboot (approximately 30 seconds). The camera will then say "Please use APP for WiFi configuration" or "WiFi configuration is waiting". If the camera does not provide any voice prompt, please reset the camera to factory default settings by holding the reset button for 10 seconds. It will then say "Reset completed, device will reboot soon".

- Enter the APP, click the "+" icon in the top right corner, and then click on "Scan QR Code" to scan the QR code on the camera's body.
- Once the camera says "Please use APP for WiFi configuration" for the first time, click the "Heard voice prompt" button. Then, enter the password for the WiFi network your mobile phone is currently connected to, and click "Confirm" to proceed to the next step.
- During the configuration, keep the phone and the camera within 2 meters. Maximize the volume of your mobile phone. Click the 'Send' button on the APP to send the configuration signal to the camera.
- After the camera prompts "Wireless configuration succeed," wait about 10 seconds. The APP will show the "Add Camera" page; click on it to complete the adding process.
Note: Place the phone close to the camera and adjust the phone volume to maximum.

3.2 Other Ways of Adding
If no QR code can be found on the body of the device, please choose the 'Others' option to add the camera.
Method One: Wireless Installation
- Enter the APP, click the "+" icon in the top right corner, and choose 'Others' → 'IP Camera'.
- Choose 'Wireless Installation'. Please refer to the 'Wireless configuration add instructions' and the APP's voice prompts to finish the setup.
Note: Please refer to steps ②, ③, and ④ in the 'Scan QR code' section above to complete the 'Wireless Installation' settings.

Method Two: Wired Connection
- Please power on the camera and connect it to the router's LAN port using a network cable. Ensure the router's yellow indicator is flashing.
- Then, choose the "Search in LAN" or "Manually add" method under the 'Others' option to add the camera.
Important: Please ensure the phone and camera are connected to the same router.

- Login to the APP, click the "+" icon in the top right corner, and choose 'Others' → 'IP Camera'.
Search Camera in LAN:
- Click on "Search in LAN". You can find all available cameras connected to the same router as your smartphone. If added successfully, the camera can be added by other users (with different accounts) in the same way.
Note: Cameras that have already been successfully added to this account will not be searched again.

- The binding page will pop up after approximately 10 seconds. If it does not pop up, please return to the Add Camera page and select the "Manually add" method to add the camera.
Manually Add a Camera:
After selecting "Manually add", please input the camera's UID (15 digits, found on the label attached to the camera's body) or scan the QR code on the camera's bottom sticker. The UID will be auto-filled. Then, enter the camera's password to bind the camera.
Switching to WiFi Mode (after Method Two):
Note: After the camera has been added using Method Two, if you want to make the camera work in WiFi mode, please follow these steps:
- In the home page of the APP, click the "..." icon in the top right corner of the camera. Navigate to "Parameter Settings" → "WiFi Setting". Select the WiFi network that your smartphone/tablet is connected to, then input the WiFi password, and click "done" ✔️.
- Wait until the camera says "Please remove the network cable, camera will restart...". Remove the network cable (keep the camera powered on). The camera will reboot automatically.
Note: If setup fails, please refer to the network cable connection method or change your router to set up again.

4. Parameter Settings of Cameras
In the home page of the APP, click the "..." icon in the top right corner and go to "Parameter Settings". You will see the following menus:
- Basic Parameters: View the camera's basic information, set up wireless connection, modify the password, upgrade firmware, reboot, and delete the camera.
- Video Viewing: Set up night vision mode, horizontal and vertical mirror view, light mode, brightness, and contrast.
- SD Recording: Check SD card capacity, set up scheduled recording, motion detection recording, and select recording sound. It is suggested to format the SD card before recording.
- Alarm: Turn on/off motion detection alarms, set up alarm notification types, and alarm time frames. The sensitivity of motion detection alarms is graded into three levels: "low/middle/high".

FAQ
- Q: How to reset the camera to factory default setting?
- A: Hold the reset button for about 10 seconds to reset the camera. The camera's default password is: 888888. To improve security, it is highly recommended that you modify the password of the camera.
- Q: Any tips for WiFi connection?
- A: The camera supports only 2.4G frequency signals and 802.11b/g/n WiFi networks.
1. The WiFi password should be less than 16 digits and cannot contain special characters (e.g., @ ¥ !). It is suggested to create a password containing only letters and numbers.
2. Please upgrade the APP to the latest version. - Q: No vision at night time?
- A:
- Check if the IR function is enabled.
- Check if the IR LED is on.
- Reset the camera back to factory settings.
- Upgrade the camera to the latest firmware.
- Q: What to do if the camera's picture is blurred?
- A:
- Login to the camera's web interface and adjust the picture quality to HD mode.
- Clean the camera lens with a cotton swab.
