Important Information
Battery
The battery installed in the watch at the factory is discharged during delivery and storage. At the first sign of insufficient power (unclear display), replace the battery at your nearest authorized CASIO service center or a CASIO distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by categories (from I to V) according to their degree of water resistance. Check your watch's category using the table below to determine its correct usage.
Category | Case Markings | Splash, Rain, Washing Machine, etc. | Swimming, Washing, etc. | Water Sports, Diving | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
II | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- Category I watches are not water-resistant. Avoid any contact with water.
- WR (Water Resistant) means the watch is water-resistant according to ISO 2281. Short-term contact with water will not cause problems.
- With water resistance of 5 Bar (50 meters), the watch can withstand water pressure of the indicated level and can be used during showering and brief swimming.
- Water resistance of 10 Bar (100 meters) means the watch can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
- Water resistance of 20 Bar (200 meters) means the watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
If your watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of a leather strap with water.
Care and Maintenance
Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
Although the watch is designed for active daily use, wear it carefully and avoid drops.
Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the strap.
To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials will damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
Some watch models feature silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging these patterns.
Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may cause the fluorescent paint to transfer.
When using the product in conditions of sharp temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to physical laws and is not a defect.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of this watch and does not accept any claims from third parties.
For watches with plastic straps:
You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
Exposure of the plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, can cause damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and straps:
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Check that the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.

Time Calibration Signal
This watch receives a calibration signal and updates the time accordingly. Auto-calibration occurs six times daily (during the night or early morning). Calibration only occurs when the watch is in Current Time or World Time Mode.
The reception time for the signal lasts from 2 to 14 minutes. Be attentive and do not move the watch during signal reception.
Viewing Last Reception Data: In Current Time Mode, press "A" to view the date and time of the last reception. Press "A" again to return to Current Time Mode.
Auto Calibration Signal Reception:
If the calibration signal is received successfully, the display will show "GET", followed by the date and time of reception. The current time will be automatically updated. To stop the reception process and return to Current Time Mode, press "A". The watch will also automatically return to Current Time Mode if no buttons are pressed for 1-2 minutes.
If signal reception fails, the display will show "ERR". Press "A" to return to Current Time Mode.
Factors Affecting Signal Reception: The broadcast signal is also affected by weather conditions, atmospheric pressure, and temperature. Signal weakening can also be caused by:
- The watch being near a TV, computer, or home appliance.
- Being in a subway or tunnel.
- Being near an airport, train station, or high-speed road.
- Proximity to radio stations or transmission towers.
- Electrostatic voltage.
There are two types of calibration signal reception: Auto-calibration (receives signal automatically six times daily) and Manual calibration (you press the button to receive the signal).
To perform manual calibration:
- Place your watch horizontally.
- In Current Time Mode, press and hold the "A" button for two seconds until the watch beeps.
- The display will clear, and the left sub-display needle will move to "R" (READY), indicating signal reception has begun.
- The left sub-display needle will then move to "W" (WORK) and remain there until reception is complete.
- Reception time is 2 to 7 minutes, but can sometimes take up to 14 minutes. Do not move the watch during this period.
- If reception is unstable, the left sub-display needle may move between "R" and "W".
- If reception is successful, "GET" will appear on the display, along with the date and time of reception.
- The current time will be automatically updated.
- Press "A" to return to Current Time Mode.
