- The warranty does not cover:
- Malfunctions due to improper, rough, or negligent handling.

- CASIO and its International Warranty Network members are not liable for any loss, damage, or alteration of data, or for the loss of data stored in the watch.
- This warranty is the sole express or implied basis for warranty repair of CASIO G-SHOCK watches outside of Russia and Ukraine.
- These warranty services are provided only by members of the CASIO International Warranty Network.
- These warranty services are provided only to the original purchaser.
Rights arising from this warranty supplement and do not affect the statutory rights of the buyer.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ FIRST
Battery
The battery installed in the watch at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. If you notice the first signs of insufficient power (dim display), replace the battery at your nearest authorized CASIO service center or a CASIO distributor.
Water Resistance
For all categories of watches, do not:
- Press buttons underwater.
- Set hands underwater.
- Unscrew the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear a watch with a leather band while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of a leather band with water.
Watches are classified by water resistance rating (from I to V) according to their degree of protection. Check your watch's rating using the table below to determine its correct usage.
Rating | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, Washing Car, etc. | Swimming, Washing, etc. | Scuba Diving, etc. | |
I | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes
- Watches are not protected against water. Avoid any contact with moisture.
- WR (Water Resistant) means the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Short-term contact with water will not cause any problems.
- With 5 BAR (50 meters) water resistance, the watch can withstand water pressure of the indicated level and can be used during showering and short-term swimming.
- 10 BAR (100 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
- 20 BAR (200 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Care for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest dealer or CASIO distributor.
General Care
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
- Do not fasten the band too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the band.
- To clean the watch and band, use a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild neutral detergent and water. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid exposing the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
- Some watch bands feature silk-screened graphics. Be careful when cleaning such bands to avoid damaging the designs.
- For watches with plastic bands: You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth. Exposure of the plastic band to sweat or moisture, or storing it in high humidity conditions, can cause damage, tearing, or cracking of the band. To ensure a long service life for the plastic band, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
- For watches with fluorescent cases and bands: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can gradually cause the fluorescent color to fade. Prolonged contact with moisture can also cause the fluorescent color to fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Check that moisture has been removed from the fluorescent surface and avoid contact with other surfaces. Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
- CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept any claims from third parties.
- Slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass when the product is used in conditions of rapid temperature change. This is due to physical laws and is not a defect.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF OPERATING MODES
The illustration shows the watch in Timekeeping Mode.
Pressing the 'C' button repeatedly cycles through the modes in the following order: Timekeeping Mode — World Time Mode — Alarm Mode — Stopwatch Mode — Countdown Timer Mode — Timekeeping Mode.

Calibration Signal
This watch receives a calibration signal and updates the time accordingly.
In Europe, signal transmission centers are located in Mainflingen, Germany, and Anthorn, England. The signal covers a radius of 500 km. The signal may be weak at distances over 1500 km.
In the United States, the signal transmission center is located in Fort Collins. The signal covers a radius of 1000 km. The signal may be weak at distances over 3000 km.
In Japan, signal transmission centers are located in Fukushima and Fukuoka/Saga. The signal covers a radius of 500 km. The signal may be weak at distances over 1000 km.
In China, signal transmission centers are located in Shangqiu. The signal covers a radius of 500 km. The signal may be weak at distances over 1500 km. Cities such as Shanghai and Beijing are within 500 km of this location, while Hong Kong, Changchun, and Chengdu are within 1500 km.
The transmitted signal is also affected by natural conditions, atmospheric pressure, and temperature. Signal weakening can also be caused by the following factors:
- The watch being near a TV, computer, or other home appliance.
- Being in a subway or tunnel.
- Being near a radio station or transmission tower.
- Being in an airport, train station, or high-speed road.
- Electrostatic voltage.
There are two types of calibration signal reception: Auto-calibration and Manual calibration.
Auto-calibration: When enabled, the watch automatically receives the signal six times each day and corrects the time. This occurs during the night or early morning. Auto-calibration only occurs when the watch is in Timekeeping or World Time Mode. The signal reception takes 2 to 14 minutes. Do not move the watch during reception.
Manual calibration: You can manually initiate signal reception by pressing a button.
- Hold the watch horizontally.
- In Timekeeping Mode, press and hold the 'D' button for two seconds until the 'RCVD' indicator flashes, indicating the start of signal reception.
- Signal reception takes 2 to 7 minutes, but may sometimes take up to 14 minutes. Be careful not to move the watch during reception.
- If signal reception is successful, the watch display will show the 'GET' indicator, along with the date and time of reception.
- The current time will be automatically updated.
- Press the 'D' button to return to Timekeeping Mode after reception is complete.
Press the 'D' button to stop the signal reception process and return to Timekeeping Mode. The watch will also automatically return to Timekeeping Mode if no buttons are pressed for 1-2 minutes.
If the last signal reception was unsuccessful but the one before it was successful, the 'RCVD' indicator will still appear on the display.
Auto-calibration Signal
When enabled, the auto-calibration signal is automatically received six times (during the night or early morning). Auto-calibration only occurs when the watch is in Timekeeping or World Time Mode. Signal reception takes 2 to 14 minutes. Be careful not to move the watch during reception.

- Watch is not exposed to direct sunlight.
- Backlight used 1.5 seconds/day.
- Alarm sound used 10 seconds/day.
- 4 minutes of calibration signal reception per day.
- 18 hours of operation, 6 hours (per day) in sleep mode.
By exposing your watch to sunlight daily, you ensure continuous battery charging:

Sunlight through a window (10,000 lux) | 24 minutes |
Daylight on a cloudy day (5,000 lux) | 48 minutes |
Incandescent light (500 lux) | 8 hours |
