The CSM 57 18-EC is engineered for demanding professional applications. Its high-performance 150 mm saw blade and powerful EC motor allow for cutting materials up to a depth of 57 mm. The compatible 18-volt battery platform, combined with an 8.0 Ah battery, ensures all-day operation without frequent battery changes.

The saw features an ergonomically shaped handle with soft grip inserts and an offset auxiliary handle for a clear view of the cutting line. Additional practical features include a detachable auxiliary handle, a metal-clad chip collection container, a fold-away hook for hanging, and an integrated hex key holder for quick blade changes. The enclosed design enhances safety by significantly reducing the risk of injury compared to open cutting discs.

Despite intensive use, the saw's durability is impressive. Beck notes: "Initially, I had some doubts about whether the saw blade would hold up. But it does! I'm still using the original saw blade on my test machine – for three-quarters of a year now!"
