Installation Instructions
Step 1: Attach Mounting Plate
Attach mounting plate [A] to outlet box [B] using the plate mounting screws [C]. The mounting plate can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture. The mounting plate should be installed with its flat side against the wall and bent flanges pointing away from the wall at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions.
Step 2: Grounding Instructions (US Only)
Refer to illustrations a or b for grounding methods:
Method a: On fixtures where the mounting plate is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw, and thread it into the hole.
Method b: On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and green ground screw, and thread it into the mounting plate.
If the fixture is provided with a ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire with a wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect the ground wire to black or white power supply wires.
Step 3: Wire Connections
Make wire connections. Reference the chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.
Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to: | Connect White Supply Wire to: |
---|---|
Black *Parallel cord (round & smooth) |
White *Parallel cord (square & ridged) |

Step 4: Fixture Mounting
NOTE: Fixture can be mounted with the glass shade [F] in the up or down position.
Push canopy [D] to the wall, carefully aligning the mounting screw holes in the mounting plate with the mounting screw holes in the canopy. NOTE: Make sure all wires are inside the canopy and do not get pinched between the mounting plate and canopy or wall and canopy of fixture.
Screw two (2) mounting screws [E] into holes in the canopy and mounting plate to attach the fixture to the wall. Tighten to secure. NOTE: Install one (1) at the top and one (1) at the bottom of the canopy.
Step 5: Install Bulb and Shade
Insert the recommended bulb(s) (not included).
Carefully pass glass shade [F] over the installed bulb and rotate into the fixture (clockwise) until snug. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
