Connection Diagram
Before initial setup, connect your camera as follows:
- Connect the camera to a Reolink NVR (not included) using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect the NVR to your router, then power on the NVR.
NOTE: The camera requires power from a 12V DC adapter or a PoE powering device (e.g., PoE injector, PoE switch, or Reolink NVR, none of which are included in the package).
Diagram illustrates connecting a Power Adapter, Reolink NVR, PoE IP Camera, and Router with Ethernet cables. It also shows an alternative connection via a PoE switch or injector.
Set up the Camera
Download and launch the Reolink App or Client software, and follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup.
On Smartphone
Scan the QR code to download the Reolink App. Available on the App Store and Google Play.

Installation Tips
- Avoid pointing the camera directly at light sources.
- Do not point the camera towards a glass window, as glare from infrared LEDs, ambient lights, or status lights can degrade image quality.
- Position the camera in a well-lit area, avoiding shaded spots, for optimal image quality. Ensure consistent lighting for both the camera and the subject.
- Protect power ports from water, moisture, dirt, and other elements.
- The camera is waterproof and can withstand rain and snow, but it is not submersible.
- Avoid installing the camera where rain or snow can directly hit the lens.
Install the Camera
Wall Mounting
- Connect the wire rope anchor between the camera and the bracket.
- Place the mounting template on the desired wall position and drill holes accordingly.
- Install two screws into the upper two holes and hang the bracket over them.
- Install another two screws into the lower two holes to secure the bracket.
Diagrams illustrate connecting the wire rope anchor, using the template to drill holes, and securing the bracket with screws.
Ceiling Mounting
- Loosen the screws to detach the camera from the bracket.
- Loosen the two screws on the bracket (internal and external), swivel it to a vertical position relative to the ceiling, and then tighten the bracket screws.
- Connect the wire rope anchor between the camera and the bracket.
- Place the mounting template on the desired ceiling position, drill holes, and insert drywall anchors if needed.
- Secure the bracket base to the mounting surface with screws.
Diagrams show detaching the camera, adjusting the bracket for ceiling mounting, connecting the anchor, using the template, and securing the bracket.
Troubleshooting
Camera Is Not Powering On
If the camera is not powering on, try these solutions:
- Ensure the camera is properly powered. PoE cameras require a PoE switch/injector, Reolink NVR, or a 12V 2A power adapter.
- If connected to a PoE device, try another PoE port.
- Try a different Ethernet cable.
If problems persist, contact Reolink Support at https://support.reolink.com.
Picture Is Not Clear
If the camera image is unclear, try these solutions:
- Clean the camera lens for dirt, dust, or spiderwebs with a soft cloth.
- Point the camera towards a well-lit area, as lighting significantly affects image quality.
- Upgrade the camera firmware to the latest version.
- Restore the camera to factory settings and check again.
If problems persist, contact Reolink Support at https://support.reolink.com.
Pan & Tilt Is Not Working
If the pan & tilt feature is not functioning, try these solutions:
- Power cycle the camera and check if it pans/tilts automatically. If not, the camera might be faulty.
- If pan/tilt fails via Reolink App/Client on WAN (remote), try it on LAN (local).
- Update the Reolink App/Client and camera firmware to the latest version.
- Restore the camera to factory settings and re-check pan/tilt.
If problems persist, contact Reolink Support at https://support.reolink.com.
