Pyramid 3D Printer Quick Installation Guide
This guide provides instructions for the quick installation of the Pyramid 3D Printer.
Safety Instructions
Warning: High Temperature Parts When the printer is working, please be aware of the high temperature of the hot bed, extruder head, and other hot parts. Do not touch any hot part during printing to avoid scalds. Note that hot parts need time to cool down after working.
Warning: Electrical Hazard The printer has 220V AC/110V AC voltage and other high voltage power connectors. Please do not touch conductive parts in case of electric shock.
Warning: High Power Components The power of some key parts of the printer (such as the hot bed, extruder head) is stronger. During installation and usage, please ensure all terminals are connected tightly to avoid any sparking caused by loose wiring. To ensure safety, the printer should be attended during working.
Warning: Moving Parts The printer belongs to mechanical equipment. When it is working, please do not touch moving parts in case of mechanical wounding.

Assembly Instructions
Part 1: Install the Z parts
Preparation list:
- 1. Install the 2040 aluminum profile on the printer base, with 2 pcs M4×20 each side.
- 2. Install the motor & Coupling to the 2040 aluminum profile with M4×20.
Part 2: Install the X parts
- Step 1: Install X-axis left part with 2 pcs M4×16.
- Step 2: Install Extruder part with the belt pass through the X-axis.
- Step 3: Install X-axis right part with 2 pcs M4×16.
- Step 4: Install X belt bearing with 2 pcs M4×16.
- Step 5: Install X end stop with 2 pcs M3×6.
Part 3: Fixed gantry
- Step 1: Put the X-axis part pass through the 2040 pillar.
- Step 2: Install the Gantry top beam with 2 pcs M5×25 each side.
Part 4: Installing screw rod
- Step 1: Install the Screw rod and tighten the Couplings.
- Step 2: Install the screw rod fixing block.
Part 5: Install support rod
Assemble the support rods using the provided components.
Part 6: Line connection
Connect the motors (E-motor, X-motor, Z-motor) and limit switches (Z-limit) to the control board. Ensure the correct voltage is selected before powering on.
Important: Select voltage before starting up. 115V/230V is selected by switch. Before power on, please check input voltage to avoid damage.
Level the Heated Bed
- Auto Home: Navigate to Home > All to automatically move the print head to the home position.
- Adjust Nozzle Distance: Use the adjustment nuts under the platform to set the distance between the nozzle and the print bed. The nozzle should lightly touch an A4 paper. Ensure the distance is consistent at all four corners. Repeat steps 1-2 if necessary.
Understanding Nozzle Distance:
- Too close: May lead to abnormal discharge or damage to the nozzle.
- Normal: Ensures optimal printing results and efficiency.
- Too far: Prevents proper adhesion to the hot bed, leading to printing failures.
Installation Software
- Open the SD card and find the CURA software (or download it online).
- After installing the software, add the printer: Go to Printer > Settings > Add Printer.
- Configure Printer Settings: Set parameters such as print size, nozzle size, and material diameter (e.g., 1.75mm for filament).
- Import Profile: Insert the SD card and import the provided profile (e.g., Pyramid2.1.curaprofile) into Cura.
Start Printing
- Prepare Model: Open Cura, go to File > Open file (Import your STL model) and then Slice.
- Save to TF Card: Save the sliced file to the TF card.
- Select and Print: Insert the TF card into the printer. Select 'Printing' on the printer's interface, then choose your file.
- Confirm and Heat: Select 'Confirm' to start printing after the printer has heated up.
Warm Reminder
Dear customers:
- To ensure product quality, each printer undergoes a printing test at the factory. Slight traces of use on the nozzle are from this test. While efforts are made to clean them, please do not be concerned.
- The factory test voltage is 220V. When installing, please select 110V or 220V according to your local power supply to ensure the printer works correctly. Use a screwdriver or tweezers to adjust the voltage regulator on the power supply.
Voltage Selection:
[115V] / [230V]
115/230V is selected by switch.
Before power on, please check input voltage to avoid damage.
Troubleshooting
Follow the flowchart to diagnose and resolve common printing issues:
- SD Card Issues: Erase, format, or replace the SD card.
- File Name Issues: Rename files with only alphabet and numbers.
- Slicing Issues: Move the model, restart slicing, or restore the model using the software.
- XYZ Stepper Issues: Reconnect cables or use the replacement method.
- Limit Switch Issues: Reconnect cables or use the replacement method.
- Hot Bed Issues: Reconnect cables. If the temperature is not normal, check the thermistor.
- Nozzle Issues: Reconnect cables. If the temperature is not normal, check the thermistor.
- Misalignment: Reconnect cables. Adjust the synchronous belt tension.
- Spray Issues: Check the coupling and ensure it is fastened.
- E-stepper Rotation Issues: Clean the filament or replace it.
- Feeding Roller Issues: Reconnect cables or use the replacement method.
Results: If the fault is resolved, it is fixed. If the fault cannot be identified, contact support for replacement.
