Knog Blinder 900 Quick Start Guide

What's in the Pack

The package contains the Knog Blinder 900 front bike light, a compact and powerful cycling light, along with a versatile mounting bracket system designed for secure attachment to bicycle handlebars.

Operation

Important Note: The Blinder 900 is initially packaged in DEMO-MODE. To enable its full functionality, connect it to a USB-C charger.

The primary control is the Power Button located on the top of the light, near the front lenses.

Button Functions:

• Long Press (2 seconds): Turns the light ON or OFF.
• Quick Press: Changes the light mode.
• Double Press: Toggles between steady and flash modes.
• Quick Press (when OFF): Checks the battery status.

Charging

To charge the Blinder 900:

1. Lift the charging-port hatch located on the light.
2. Insert a USB Type-C charging cable into the port.
3. Once the cable is inserted, the power button will glow amber, indicating the light is in charging mode.
4. Upon full charge, the power button will glow green. This green light will automatically turn off after 1 minute.

Battery Status

To check the battery status, perform a quick press of the power button when the light is switched off. The status is indicated by a visual bar graph:

⚠️ Warning: When the power button light is flashing red, the light's output is reduced to 30% to preserve runtime.

Mounting

Bar Mount

This mount is designed for various handlebar diameters. Ensure you select the correct slot on the strap to match your handlebar's diameter.

Bar Diameter Compatibility:

• 22.2 mm Ø BAR
• 26 mm Ø BAR
• 31.8 mm Ø BAR
• 35 mm Ø BAR

Installation Steps:

1. Firmly hold the mount in place on the handlebar.
2. Stretch the strap downwards.
3. Pull the strap around the handlebar and secure it onto the integrated hook.
4. Place the light into the mount's cradle.
5. Complete the mounting by pulling up on the release tab while applying downward pressure to click the light securely into position.

Important: Ensure the light is securely mounted before riding.

To Remove: Press down on the release tab and gently pull the light away from the cradle.

Under Mount

This mount allows attachment to surfaces compatible with action camera mounting systems (e.g., GoPro mounts). The under-mount mechanism has two states: LOCKED and UN-LOCKED.

Installation Steps:

1. Place the light inside the mount in the UN-LOCKED position.
2. Lock the under-mount mechanism by rotating it (indicated by a curved arrow).

⚠️ Warning: Make sure the under-mount is locked before riding. Do not ride with the under-mount unlocked!
