Knog Blinder 1300 Quick Start Guide

Product Overview

This guide provides essential information for setting up and using the Knog Blinder 1300 bike light.

Note: The Blinder 1300 is initially packaged in demo-mode. To enable full functionality, connect it to a USB-C charger.

Operation

Power Button Functions

Long Press (2 seconds): Turns the light ON/OFF.
Quick Press: Changes the light mode.
Double Press: Toggles between steady and flash modes.
Quick Press (when off): Checks battery status.

Charging

For optimal battery life, charge the light within a temperature range of 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Charging will be suspended if temperatures drop below 0°C (32°F) or exceed 45°C (113°F) to protect the battery.

Lift the charging-port hatch.
Insert a USB Type-C charging cable.

The power button will glow amber while charging. Once fully charged, it will glow green for one minute before turning off.

Battery Status

A quick press of the power button when the light is off indicates the battery status:

100%: Power button glows green.
75%: Power button glows amber.
50%: Power button glows yellow.
25%: Power button glows red.
10%: Power button flashes red.

When the power button light flashes red, the light's output is reduced to 30% to preserve runtime.

Mounting

Bar Mount

This mount is designed for handlebars with diameters of 22.2 mm, 26 mm, 31.8 mm, or 35 mm.

Select the hole corresponding to your handlebar diameter.
Firmly hold the mount in place and stretch the strap downwards.
Pull the strap around the handlebar and secure it onto the hook.
Place the light into the cradle.
Complete mounting by pulling up on the tab while applying downward pressure to click the light into position. Ensure the light is secure before riding.

To remove the light, press down on the tab and gently pull the light away from the cradle.

Under Mount

This mount is compatible with GoPro or computer mount systems.

Ensure the under-mount is in the UN-LOCKED position.
Place the light inside the mount in the UN-LOCKED position.
Lock the under-mount mechanism.

Important: Ensure the under-mount is locked before riding. Do not ride with the under-mount unlocked.
