Charging the Shaver
Recommended Charging Conditions:
- Ideal ambient temperature for charging: 5 °C to 35 °C. Avoid extreme temperatures, which may prevent proper charging.
- Do not expose the shaver to temperatures higher than 50 °C for extended periods.
Charging Procedure:
- Connect the shaver to an electrical outlet using the special cord set (8) with the motor switched off.
- First Charge/Long Storage: Charge continuously for 4 hours.
- Subsequent Charges: Approximately 1 hour for a full charge.
- Battery Life: A full charge provides up to 45 minutes of cordless shaving, depending on beard thickness. Maximum battery capacity is reached after several charging/discharging cycles.
- Shaving While Charging: You can shave by connecting the shaver to the outlet if the battery is discharged.
- Quick Charge: A 5-minute quick charge is sufficient for one shave.
Charging Indicators:
- Green Charging Light (4): Blinks during charging or when the shaver is switched on. Shines continuously when fully charged and connected to power.
- Red Low-Charge Light (5): Flashes when the battery is running low, indicating you should finish your shave soon.
Shaving
Operation: Press the on/off switch (3) to operate the shaver. The flexible shaving foils automatically adjust to your facial contours for a close shave.
Using the Long Hair Trimmer (2): Slide the trimmer upwards to trim sideburns, mustache, or beard.
Tips for the Perfect Dry Shave:
- Always shave before washing your face.
- Hold the shaver at a 90° angle to your skin at all times.
- Stretch your skin and shave against the direction of your beard growth.
For pre-shaving after several days without shaving, use the long hair trimmer (2) to cut long hairs first, then finish with the foil for a smooth shave.
Diagram Description: Usage illustrations show holding the shaver at 90°, using the trimmer, and shaving against hair growth.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal shaving performance.
Easy Cleaning Under Running Water:
- With the shaver off and unplugged, rinse the shaver head under hot running water. Liquid soap without abrasive substances can be used.
- Let the shaver run for a few more seconds to rinse off foam.
- Switch off the shaver, remove the Foil & Cutter cassette (1), and let all parts dry.
- For regular water cleaning, apply a drop of light machine oil to the long hair trimmer (2) and Foil & Cutter cassette (1) weekly. ?
Alternative Cleaning with a Brush:
- Switch off the shaver. Remove the Foil & Cutter cassette and tap it gently on a flat surface.
- Use a brush to clean the inner area of the shaver head. Caution: Do not use a brush to clean the Foil & Cutter cassette as it may cause damage.
Keeping Your Shaver in Top Shape:
- Replacement Light for Shaving Parts (6): This light indicates it's time to replace the Foil & Cutter cassette (1), typically after about 18 months of use or when worn.
- Foil & Cutter Cassette Models: 32S/32B.
- Resetting the Counter: After replacing the cassette, press and hold the on/off switch (3) for at least 5 seconds to reset the replacement indicator. The light will blink and then turn off upon completion. Manual reset is also possible.
- Battery Preservation: To maintain optimal rechargeable battery capacity, fully discharge the shaver (through normal use) approximately every six months, then recharge it fully.
