Thank you for purchasing a Braun product. We hope you are completely satisfied with your new Braun shaver. This manual provides instructions for the Braun cruZer body, a rechargeable trimmer and wet shaver designed for use on all body areas below the neckline, wet or dry.
The Braun cruZer body is designed for trimming and shaving body hair. It is not intended for facial hair or scalp hair.
Product Components and Accessories
The Braun cruZer body package includes:
- Trimmer Unit: The main body of the device.
- Trimming Combs (1a, 1b, 1c):
- 1a: Sensitive attachment for sensitive areas.
- 1b: Medium comb (3 mm).
- 1c: Long comb (8 mm).
- Long Hair Trimmer (2): Integrated trimmer head.
- Shaving System (Gillette Fusion) (3): The foil shaver head.

- Shaving (2): For a close shave of stubbled areas, the slider (5) is set to '2', and the shaving system (3) is used directly on the skin, moving against hair growth.

Connecting and Charging
The Braun cruZer body is electrically safe for use in the bathroom, bath, and shower.
- Plug the charger (8) into an electrical outlet.
- Place the cruZer body onto the charger.
- The charging light (7) will illuminate to indicate charging.
- When the battery is fully charged, the charging light turns off. Intermittent blinking indicates the battery is maintaining its full capacity.
Charging Time: Approximately 14 hours.
Cordless Operation Time: Up to 50 minutes.
Battery Maintenance
To maintain the capacity of the rechargeable batteries, it is recommended to unplug the charger and discharge the cruZer body through normal use at least every six months.
How to Use the cruZer body
Always keep your skin stretched when shaving or trimming for best results and to avoid injuries.
Trimming
Skin/Contour Trimming (using trimmer head only): For precise lines and contours, use the trimmer (2) without any comb attachments. Press the on/off switch (6) to activate. Move the trimmer against the direction of hair growth. Shaving foam or gel can be used for this function.
Using Trimming Combs: For best results, use combs on dry hair only. Remove any accumulated hairs from the comb.
- Sensitive Areas (using comb 1a): For trimming in sensitive areas and improved skin care, attach the sensitive comb (1a) to the trimmer (2) until it clicks. Operate against hair growth, ensuring skin is stretched.
- Hair Length Adjustment (using combs 1b/1c): Use the medium (1b, 3 mm) or long (1c, 8 mm) combs to cut hair to desired lengths. Start with the long comb (1c) for practice. Move against hair growth with comb tips pointing forward.
Combishave (Trimming and Shaving Combined)
This function (setting '1+2') is ideal for large areas like the chest and back. Press the adjustment button and slide the selector (5) to the '1+2' position. Turn on the device. The trimmer (2) first lifts and cuts longer hairs, followed by the shaving system (3) for a close finish. Ensure both trimmer and shaving system are in contact with the skin. Using Gillette shaving foam or gel is recommended.
Shaving
For a close shave of stubbled areas (setting '2'), press the adjustment button and slide the selector (5) to the '2' position. Place the shaving system (3) on stretched skin and move gently against hair growth. Avoid excessive pressure and ensure full skin contact. Using Gillette shaving foam or gel is recommended.
Protection Sleeve / Shower Holder
The cruZer body includes a protective cover that doubles as a shower holder. Use it as a cover by inserting the shaver with the trimmer inside. Use it as a holder by inserting the shaver with the trimmer outside.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the Braun cruZer body after each use.
- Remove the trimming comb and brush it clean. The brush can also clean the trimmer head if used for dry applications only.
- If used with shaving gel or foam, rinse the shaver under hot running water (as illustrated). Shake off excess water and allow to air dry.
- Apply a drop of light machine oil to the trimmer head weekly.
Replacing the Shaving System
The shaving system (3) needs replacement when the green stripe becomes discolored. Use only Gillette Fusion cartridges.
- Extend the slider and press the release button (4) to eject the used shaving system.
- Insert the appliance into the refill organizer to collect a new one.
- If the cruZer body is dropped onto the shaving system, replace the system for safety reasons.
