Safety Information
CAUTION
Use only with permanently installed fixtures with dimmable LED, halogen, MLV halogen, or incandescent lamps. To avoid overheating and possible damage to other equipment, do not use to control receptacles or motor-driven appliances.

Grounding
When no "grounding means" exist in wallbox, the National Electrical Code (NEC®) allows a control to be installed as a replacement if 1) a nonmetallic, noncombustible faceplate is used with nonmetallic attachment screws or 2) the circuit is protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). When installing a control according to these methods, cap or remove green wire before screwing control into wallbox.

Installing Your Dimmer (Single Pole)
Important Note: 3-Way
If you have more than one switch controlling the light, this is called a 3-way installation. You will need to buy PJ2-WALL-WH-L01. Please visit www.casetawireless.com/3way for more details.
Important note: Derating
Removing side sections reduces the dimmer's maximum wattage rating. See the chart below for maximum wattage information.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Turn power off at circuit breaker!

Step 2: Remove existing switch from wall
Remove the wallplate from the switch. Remove the switch and pull it away from the wall.

Step 3: Remove side sections (if necessary)
Bend back and forth. Do not remove outside side sections on dimmers at the end of a gang. Each dimmer has inside side sections removed. A dimmer at the middle has all side sections removed.

Step 4: Disconnect all three wires* from the switch.

Step 5: Connect the dimmer

- Connect the bare copper (or green) "ground" wire from the wallbox to the green wire on the dimmer using a wire connector.
- Connect the "load" wire from the wallbox to the red wire on the dimmer using a wire connector.
- Connect the "hot" wire from the wallbox to the black wire on the dimmer using a wire connector.
- If available, connect the neutral wire from the wallbox to the white wire on the dimmer. If neutral is not available, cap the white wire with a wire connector. Neutral is required for: MLV loads, LED drivers, PHPM-PA, PHPM-3F, GRX-TVI.
- Cap the blue wire with a wire connector. (The blue wire is only used for a 3-way installation with a mechanical toggle switch. See www.casetawireless.com/3-way for details.)
Step 6: Mount the dimmer
Use the screws provided.

Step 7: Attach the wallplate
Attach the adapter to the dimmer using the screws provided and snap on the wallplate.

Step 8: Turn power on at circuit breaker

Using Your Caséta Wireless Kit (Sold Separately)
With a smartphone or tablet (Bridge required, sold separately)
The Caséta Wireless dimmer can be controlled from a smartphone when used with the Lutron® Smart Bridge™. If you are using the dimmer and remote control with the Lutron® Smart Bridge™, follow the instructions below. Note: If you are using the dimmer and remote control with another manufacturer's bridge, please refer to that manufacturer's instructions for set-up.
Without a smartphone or tablet (Bridge not required)
The Lutron® app will walk you through setting up your devices.
Pairing the dimmer and Pico® remote control
Step 1: Press and hold "off" button on dimmer
Hold for 6 seconds until LEDs start blinking.

Step 2: Launch the Lutron® app
Search for "Lutron Caséta" in the App Store or Google Play. The Lutron® app will walk you through setting up your devices.

Step 3: Press and hold "off" button on remote
Hold for 6 seconds until lights flash 3 times (x3).

Step 4: Press and hold "off" button on dimmer to complete remaining steps
Repeat steps to pair other Pico® remote controls.

Changing the favorite light level on the Pico® remote control (sold separately)
You can use the round "favorite" button on the Pico® remote control to recall a favorite light level. Lutron has set it to 50%, but you can change it to any level you like.
Step 1: Press and hold "off" button on dimmer
Hold for 6 seconds until LEDs start blinking.

Step 2: Press and hold "off" button on remote
Hold for 6 seconds until LEDs blink twice on in-wall dimmer (x2). New favorite level is now saved.

Step 3: Set desired light level on dimmer

Hold for 6 seconds until LEDs blink twice on in-wall dimmer. New favorite level is now saved.

Using Your Controls
In-wall dimmer PRO
On/Off: Press the top (On) or bottom (Off) of the large rocker button.
Brighter/Darker: Press and hold the top (Brighter) or bottom (Darker) of the large rocker button.
FASSTM Front Accessible Service Switch: Pull the FASSTM switch out on the In-wall dimmer PRO to remove power at the light socket.

Pico® remote control (sold separately)
On: Press the "On" button.
Off: Press the "Off" button.
Brighter/Darker: Press and hold the "Brighter" or "Darker" button.
Favorite: Press the "Favorite" button to recall the saved favorite light level.

Replacing light bulbs using FASS™
Pull the FASSTM switch out on the In-wall dimmer PRO to remove power at the light socket.
Important Notes
- For indoor use only.
- Operate between 32 °F (0 °C) and 104 °F (40 °C).
