This guide provides instructions for calibrating and applying the Hilti X-FCM-R NG system. Ensure all safety precautions are observed.

Calibration Procedure
Step 1: Prepare Power Tool
Select the Hilti SBT 4-A22 power tool with GEAR #2 engaged.
Step 2: Attach S-CS NG
Attach the S-CS NG component to the power tool's chuck.
Step 3: Insert and Drive Fastener
Insert a fastener into the S-CS NG component and begin driving it into the base material. A warning symbol ⚠️ indicates caution.
Step 4: Insert Component into Base Material
Insert a component (e.g., S-DG BT M8/7) into the base material. A warning symbol ⚠️ is displayed.
Step 5: Insert Fastener into Component
Insert a fastener into the component previously placed in the base material.
Step 6: Prepare for Torque Setting
Switch the Hilti SBT 4-A22 power tool to GEAR #1. Attach the torque tool X-BT 1/4" to the power tool.
Step 7: Apply Torque
Drive the fastener with the torque tool until it reaches the set torque (e.g., 8 Nm), indicated by an audible "click" ?. A warning symbol ⚠️ is displayed.
Step 8: Attach Component to Base
Attach a component (e.g., S-BT GR NG M8/7) to the base material.
Step 9: Secure Component
Secure the component by driving a fastener into it.
Step 10: Final Fastening
Complete the fastening process for the component.
Step 11: Final Check
Visually inspect the installed component for proper seating and security.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Prepare Power Tool
Select the Hilti SBT 4-A22 power tool with GEAR #2 engaged.
Step 2: Attach S-CS NG
Attach the S-CS NG component to the power tool's chuck.
Step 3: Insert and Drive Fastener
Insert a fastener into the S-CS NG component and begin driving it into the base material. A warning symbol ⚠️ indicates caution.
Step 4: Align Components
Align the fastener and component correctly before insertion into the base material.
Step 5: Insert Components into Base
Insert the aligned fastener and component assembly into the base material.
Step 6: Prepare for Torque Setting
Switch the Hilti SBT 4-A22 power tool to GEAR #1.
Step 7: Apply Torque
Drive the fastener until the torque tool indicates the set torque (e.g., 8 Nm) with an audible "click" ?.
Step 7a/7b: Set Torque Limits for Calibration
Adjust the torque settings on the torque tool to the maximum (Max.) and minimum (Min.) values as required for calibration.
Step 8: Attach Component to Base
Attach a component (e.g., S-BT GR NG M8/7) to the base material.
Step 9: Secure Component with Torque
Secure the component by driving a fastener with the torque tool set to 8 Nm. The torque tool displays the set torque (Tinst 8 Nm).
Step 10: Final Fastening
Complete the fastening process for the component.
Step 11: Final Check
Visually inspect the installed component for proper seating and security.
