Introduction
The Climax TSP-3 Touchscreen Keypad offers intuitive, on-premises security system control, enhancing flexibility and convenience. When connected to a Control Panel via Wi-Fi, it provides quick access for users to arm, disarm, or home arm their security system and manage connected home devices.
System Overview
Parts Identification
The TSP-3 features a camera, power button, Micro USB port, Micro SD card slot, earphone jack, cable management space, a notch, a desktop deployment bracket, and a wall mounting bracket.
Power Supply
The Touchscreen Keypad is powered by a rechargeable battery. Charging is done via the Micro USB port using a 5V/1.5A adapter connected to mains power.
Getting Started
Equipment Required
A router supporting a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is required. The hub must be connected to this router with internet access.
Setup
To set up the Touchscreen Keypad, power it on, select the Wi-Fi SSID of the connected router, and enter the password if prompted. The keypad will then search for available hubs. Refer to the Hub's user manual for details on putting the Hub into learning mode for the initial setup. Once connected, the dashboard displays the current date and time, allowing control of the Hub and smart devices.
Note: The TSP-3 is compatible with Climax Video Door Phones and IP Cameras (up to 6 supported). Ensure all devices and the panel firmware are updated for optimal compatibility. All devices should be on the same Local Area Network (LAN) and added to the same Control Panel.
Hardware Installation
Installation Instructions
Two mounting options are available: Desktop Deployment and Wall Mounting. The desktop deployment bracket allows placement at a desired location. For wall mounting, a bracket is provided for a fixed installation.
- Desktop Deployment: Attach the bracket to the rear of the keypad until it clicks. Place the keypad at the desired location.
- Wall Mounting: Use the bracket's mounting holes as a template to drill holes. Insert wall plugs if needed, then screw the bracket to the wall. Attach the Touchscreen Keypad to the bracket.
Low Battery Notification
When the battery is low, a notification will appear on the screen, indicating the remaining percentage and prompting for recharge.
Operation
Home
The Home screen displays the current Date & Time. The Home Widget allows users to monitor and control HVAC sensors or devices. To configure the widget, tap the Home Widget icon and select up to six devices to display. The selected devices will appear on the widget list. Tapping a widget allows checking its status; a fault or supervision failure will be indicated by an orange exclamation mark and a faded widget color.
Security
The Security screen displays the current system status. The system mode is indicated by three icons. When the system is disarmed, the Touchscreen Keypad captures a photo, viewable on the Event page. Sensors reporting burglar alarms are listed, with options to record video or take pictures. Users can also edit sensor names, areas, and zones.
