Safety
Warning: Unplug power cable from outlet and make sure power button is turned off before removing side cover. Removing side cover with power on may cause equipment damage and/or serious personal injury.

Installation and Setup
Step 1: Open Doors
Insert key into the lock and turn to open the cart doors.
Step 2: Choose Configuration for Number of Devices
Select the configuration based on the number of devices to be stored.
40-Device Configuration
Cart is pre-configured. Slot Size: 1.1" (27.9 mm). Skip to page 9 for further instructions.
30-Device Configuration
Dividers and Ethernet cables need reconfiguration. See pages 6-8. Slot Size: 1.9" (48.3 mm).
Step 2a: Configure for 30 Devices (Remove Dividers)
i. Pull the divider lever towards you.
ii. With the lever pulled, slide the divider towards you.
iii. Lift the divider up and off.
Step 2b: Configure for 30 Devices (Reattach Dividers)
i. Insert the tabs on the bottom of the divider into the designated holes on the shelf.
ii. Slide the divider away from you to lock it into place. (10 dividers per shelf).
Step 3: Attach Spacers
Attach spacers if your devices are ≤ 9" (229 mm).
For 40x configuration: Attach 3x spacers.
For 30x configuration: Attach 3x spacers.
Step 4: Remove Back Panel
Follow the illustrations to remove the back panel.
Step 5: Plug in and Route Power Cables
Instructions vary based on power cable type and configuration.
Top Shelf Power Routing:
a. Plug power cables into the top row of outlets. For 40-device configuration, use every other outlet on the second row. Store cables in the top basket.
b. Route device plugs between the basket and the top outlet row, up through the dividers. Ensure sufficient slack.
c. Bundle cables and store in the top basket.
Middle Shelf Power Routing:
d. Plug power cables into the third outlet row. For 40-device configuration, use remaining outlets on the second row. Store cables from the second row in the top basket and from the third row in the bottom basket.
e. Route device plugs under the third outlet row and up through the dividers. Ensure sufficient slack.
f. Bundle cables and store in the baskets.
Bottom Shelf Power Routing:
g. Plug power cables into the bottom row of outlets. Store cables in the bottom basket.
h. Route device plugs between the basket and the bottom outlet row, up through the dividers. Ensure sufficient slack.
i. Bundle cables and store in the bottom basket.
Alternative Power Supply Setup (No integrated baskets):
Remove baskets designed for power supplies not present.
a. Lift basket up to unlock tab.
b. Pull basket out.
c. Lift bottom basket up to unlock tab then pull out.
Then, follow steps d, e, and f for routing power cables to the top, middle, and bottom shelves respectively.
Step 6: Attach Back Panel
Follow the illustrations to reattach the back panel.
Step 7: Unplug Power Cable and Remove Side Cover
Unplug the power cable from the cart and remove the side cover.
Step 8: Attach WAP (Optional)
Attach Wireless Access Point (WAP) with velcro strap. Plug WAP into Auxiliary outlet. Access door to unplug WAP.
Step 9: Attach Side Cover and Plug Back In
Attach the side cover and plug the power cable back into the cart. Route WAP Ethernet cable through the side cover access door.
Step 10: Plug in and Insert Devices
Connect devices to the power outlets within the cart.
Step 11: Plug in Power Cable and Turn Cart Power On
Connect the cart's power cable to the wall outlet and turn the cart power on.
Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING: Failure to observe the following safety notices may result in serious personal injury or equipment damage.
Inspect for damage, dirt, and debris regularly. The cart's surfaces can be cleaned with diluted, non-abrasive solutions like quaternary ammonia compounds, ammonia enzyme cleaners, bleach, or alcohol solutions. Test cleaning solutions on a small, inconspicuous area first.
- Permanent marker, dry-erase marker, and pen marks can be removed with 91% isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth.
- Iodine stains can be removed with common cleaners and a soft cloth.
- Do not use steel wool or other abrasive materials.
Electrical: To avoid risk of electric shock, do not expose electrical components to water, cleaning solutions, or corrosive liquids. Do not immerse the cart or its components in liquid. Wipe cleaners off immediately with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Electrical: Do not use flammable cleaners on cart surfaces.
CAUTION: Adjustment, Service, Replacement: Do not attempt to adjust, service, or replace any part of the cart unless directed by Ergotron-approved documentation. Only Ergotron or certified entities may perform these tasks. Contact Ergotron immediately if any component is missing or damaged.
CAUTION: Casters: Periodically check casters for cleanliness to ensure smooth travel. Avoid moving the cart across uneven, dirty, or damaged surfaces.
CAUTION: Customer Equipment: Ensure customer equipment is balanced and securely installed on the cart. Contact Ergotron for information on moving cart components.
Equipment Electrical Safety
Be aware of specific risks associated with equipment power cables, especially when the cart is near children.
WARNING: Failure to observe the following Electrical Safety notices can result in fire or death by electric shock.
Electrical cables can be hazardous. Misuse can result in fire or death by electrical shock.
- Inspect power cables thoroughly before each use. Do not use damaged cables.
- Insert plugs completely into outlets. Grasp the plug, not the cable, to remove it from the outlet.
- Do not use excessive force for connections.
- Do not plug the cable into an extension cable.
- Do not remove, bend, or modify metal prongs or pins.
- Do not drive, drag, or place objects over the cable. Do not walk on the cable.
- Avoid overheating: Uncoil cables and do not cover them with material. Do not run cables through doorways, holes in ceilings, walls, or floors.
- Keep the cart away from water. Do not use it when wet.
- Do not place the cart near flammable liquids or gases.
CAUTION: The power disconnect is the AC power cable. The socket outlet should be easily accessible and installed near the equipment.
Safe Use Recommendations
Be aware of risks when moving or stationary, especially near children.
WARNING: Failure to observe these safety notices may result in serious personal injury or equipment damage.
WARNING: Death or serious injury may occur if children climb on furniture. A remote control or toys may encourage climbing, leading to tipping.
WARNING: Relocating equipment to furniture not designed for it may result in death or serious injury due to collapsing or tipping.
General Use
- Only adults should move this cart.
- Do not allow anyone to sit, stand, or climb on the cart.
- Do not lift the cart from the bottom.
- Do not block fans and vent openings. Maintain at least 127 mm (5-inch) clearance around fans and vents to prevent overheating.
- The cart is designed for indoor use only.
- Do not use the cart to transport or store equipment other than specified in this guide.
- Do not store liquids or cleaning supplies in the cart.
- Do not place heavy objects on the cart surface or shelf.
- Maximum weight capacity of the top surface: 11.4 kg (25 lb).
- Maximum weight capacity of the shelf: 34.7 kg (76.5 lb).
- No TV/Monitor is to be used on top of the cart.
Moving the Cart
- Before moving: Disconnect power and Ethernet cables, wrap and secure them, close and lock doors, remove items from the top surface, and unlock casters.
- Push (do not pull) the cart for better maneuverability and to prevent strain.
- Do not move the cart across rough, uneven, or irregular surfaces.
Parking the Cart
- Do not park in heavy traffic areas.
- Do not run cables through doorways, holes in ceilings, walls, or floors.
- Do not run cables across hallways or areas where they will be walked on.
- Do not leave the cart unattended where children have access.
- Keep cart doors closed and locked when unattended or parked for charging/storage.
- Keep cart casters locked when unattended.
