1.1 Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use and keep them for future reference. Use only manufacturer-approved accessories. Do not expose the device to rain or moisture. Ensure proper ventilation by not covering vents. Avoid placing objects filled with liquid on the device. The symbol indicates a risk of electric shock. Secure the device to a floor or wall if required by installation instructions. Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly; use only equivalent types. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat. Listening to music at high volumes can cause hearing damage; use moderate volumes for shorter periods. The power plug is the disconnect device and must remain accessible. Ensure the power cable is not damaged. The absence of an indicator light does not mean the device is fully disconnected from the mains; unplug the power cord to disconnect. Dispose of batteries responsibly. Keep open flames away from the device.

Devices with this symbol have double electrical insulation and do not require an earth connection.

Do not attempt to open the device; internal parts carry high voltage. Opening the device voids the warranty. Service should only be performed by qualified personnel.

1.2 Storage

Keep the original packaging for protection during transport or warranty claims.

1.3 Device Setup

Consult a professional installer or follow the instructions provided. Ensure HDMI cables and external components are in good condition. Use a well-shielded SCART cable if connecting via SCART.

If using a USB HDD that exceeds the receiver's power output (5V/500mA), use an external power adapter. STRONG cannot guarantee compatibility with all USB storage devices. Back up important data before use. Ensure USB devices are formatted as NTFS or FAT32. Formatting requires the PIN code (default 1234). Video file playback depends on codec, bitrate, and resolution.

3.0 Connection

3.1 Connecting to a Terrestrial Antenna

Connect your terrestrial antenna to the RF IN connector on the receiver using a shielded antenna cable and appropriate connectors. Use the supplied SMA to IEC adapter.

3.2 Connecting to TV with HDMI extender cable or directly to HDMI port

The TV can be connected using the provided HDMI extender cable. If space allows, the receiver can also be plugged directly into an HDMI port on the TV. Ensure no physical tension is applied to the TV or receiver.

3.3 Connecting a USB Storage Device

For recording and playback, a USB 2.0 HDD or higher is recommended. Use the supplied Y-cable to connect the USB HDD to the TV's USB port for power (if the TV supports it) and to the receiver's micro USB port for data. If the USB HDD requires more power than the receiver can supply, use an external power adapter. Fast USB devices are recommended for Timeshift and recording. STRONG does not guarantee compatibility with all USB devices. Ensure your USB device is formatted as FAT32 or NTFS.

4.0 First Startup

Upon first startup, the Installation Guide will appear. Use the navigation buttons (pq, tu) to select settings and change values. Start by selecting the OSD language, then the Country. Other options include Antenna Power (enable for active antennas to supply 5V to the antenna) and Search Mode (All channels or FTA only). After setting up, proceed to Channel Search by pressing OK. The receiver will scan for available channels and then switch to viewing mode.

Note: Selecting the wrong country may result in an incorrect channel list.
