Tools and Materials Required

Tools: Screwdriver, Hammer, Drill.

Wall Mounting Hardware:

For most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls: Use the provided screws and wall plugs. Drill bit size: Ø 8 mm (5/16"). Depth for plug insertion: approx. 70 mm (2 3/4").
For solid wood (C) walls: Use the provided screws without plugs. Drill bit size: Ø 3 mm (1/8").
If you are uncertain about your wall type or the correct fixings, seek professional advice.

Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your VILHATTEN wardrobe.

Step 1: Prepare Drawer Runners

Attach the IKEA CR and IKEA CL drawer runner components to the designated panels using screws (e.g., 2x 146114, 2x 10060250 for IKEA CR; 2x 146114, 2x 10060250 for IKEA CL). Ensure correct orientation as per diagram.

Step 2: Assemble Base Structure

Connect the base panel with side panels using dowels (e.g., 5x 101345) and screws (e.g., 2x 101345). Ensure panels are aligned correctly.

Step 3: Attach Back Panel Supports

Insert dowels (e.g., 2x 118331) into the side panels and attach the vertical back panel supports.

Step 4: Attach Back Panels

Slide the back panels into the grooves of the side and base panels. Secure them with screws (e.g., 3x 100214, 100001) into the back panel supports.

Step 5: Assemble Drawer Boxes

Construct the drawer boxes by connecting the drawer sides, front, back, and base using dowels (e.g., 12x 101345) and screws (e.g., 3x 100214, 100001).

Step 6: Install Drawer Runners

Attach the remaining drawer runner components to the assembled drawer boxes using screws (e.g., 8x 101345).

Step 7: Attach Drawer Slides to Frame

Mount the drawer slide mechanisms onto the main wardrobe frame using screws (e.g., 6x 100214, 100001).

Step 8: Attach Drawer Slides to Frame (Continued)

Continue attaching drawer slide mechanisms to the wardrobe frame using brackets (e.g., 1x 103717, 1x 109041) and screws.

Step 9: Install Drawer Base

Insert the drawer base panel into the assembled drawer box and secure it with screws (e.g., 8x 101345).

Step 10: Attach Drawer Fronts

Attach the drawer fronts to the assembled drawer boxes using screws (e.g., 8x 101345).

Step 11: Install Drawer Guides

Attach drawer guides to the inside of the wardrobe frame using screws.

Step 12: Install Drawer Guides (Continued)

Continue installing drawer guides, ensuring correct alignment.

Step 13: Attach Drawer Slides

Attach drawer slides to the wardrobe frame using screws (e.g., 6x 100214, 100001).

Step 14: Attach Drawer Slides

Attach drawer slides to the wardrobe frame using brackets (e.g., 2x 109041) and screws (e.g., 2x 100214, 100001).

Step 15: Install Drawer Slides

Install drawer slides using dowels (e.g., 6x 101345).

Step 16: Install Drawer Slides

Install drawer slides using screws (e.g., 6x 100214, 100001).

Step 17: Insert Drawer Box

Slide the assembled drawer box into the wardrobe frame onto the installed runners.

Step 18: Secure Drawer Box

Secure the drawer box to the runners using screws (e.g., 4x 151705, 4x 151706).

Step 19: Attach Drawer Runners

Attach drawer runners/slides to the drawer boxes using cam lock housings and screws (e.g., 8x 10093081, 8x 10093082).

Step 20: Attach Drawer Handles

Attach the drawer handles (e.g., 6x 153548) to the drawer fronts using screws.

Step 21: Attach Door Hinges

Attach the hinge components (e.g., 2x 150688) to the wardrobe frame.

Step 22: Attach Doors

Attach the doors to the wardrobe frame by connecting the hinges. Adjust hinges as needed for proper door alignment.

Step 23: Attach Doors (Continued)

Continue attaching doors and making adjustments.

Step 24: Attach Doors (Continued)

Final door attachment and alignment.

Step 25: Attach Door Hinges

Attach the door hinges to the doors using screws (e.g., 2x 119976).

Step 26: Install Shelves

Insert shelves into the wardrobe at desired heights.

Step 27: Wall Mounting

Secure the wardrobe to the wall using the provided tip-over restraints. Follow the specific instructions for your wall type (A, B, or C) as detailed on page 22 and 23, using appropriate drill bits and fixings.

Step 28: Final Securing

Attach the tip-over restraints to the top of the wardrobe and the wall using screws (e.g., 2x 147968) and washers (e.g., 2x 10005905, 2x 126916).

Step 29: Attach Door Handles/Knobs

Attach the door handles or knobs (e.g., 2x 10096666, 2x 146113) to the doors.

Step 30: Attach Door Hinges

Attach the door hinges to the doors using screws (e.g., 2x 10042365).

Step 31: Install Shelf Supports

Insert shelf supports (e.g., 4x 104663) into the pre-drilled holes inside the wardrobe.

Step 32: Attach Drawer Runners

Attach the drawer runners to the side panels of the wardrobe using screws (e.g., 7x 10071303).

Step 33: Attach Doors

Attach the doors to the wardrobe frame using hinges (e.g., 7x 119976).

Step 34: Attach Door Knobs/Handles

Attach door knobs or handles (e.g., 2x 10062514) to the doors.

Step 35: Assemble Drawer Components

Assemble drawer components using dowels (e.g., 4x 118331).

Step 36: Attach Drawer Sides

Attach the drawer sides to the drawer base.

Step 37: Attach Drawer Runners

Attach drawer runners to the drawer sides using cam lock housings (e.g., 4x 119030).

Step 38: Insert Drawer Back

Slide the drawer back panel into place.

Step 39: Attach Drawer Support

Attach a drawer support bracket (e.g., 1x 10040242) to the drawer base.

Step 40: Attach Drawer Top

Attach the drawer top panel using screws (e.g., 4x 145718).
