First Use

Risk of damage! Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Common sense and caution are essential.

NOTICE! Before each use:

CHECK HUMIDIFIER PLACEMENT: Place on a non-metallic, lint-free, waterproof, level surface for best performance and to prevent tipping.

CAUTION!

Operation

  1. Lift the water tank off the base.
  2. NOTE: Do not hold the water tank by the handle when empty or full.
  3. Turn the tank upside down and unscrew the water tank cap counterclockwise.
  4. Fill the water tank with cold water, but not to the rim.
  5. NOTE: Use filtered or distilled water if you have hard water. White dust indicates hard water.
  6. DO NOT add medication or other additives to the water tank. For essential oils, see page 17.
  7. Screw the water tank cap back on clockwise.
  8. Place the tank onto the base, ensuring it sits flush. There should be no gap between the tank and base.
  9. Place the mist lid on top of the water tank and orient it for desired mist direction.
  10. NOTE: Do not move the humidifier while the water tank is on the base, as water may leak and cause malfunction.
  11. Plug the power cord into an outlet. DO NOT use an extension cord.
  12. Turn the unit on by turning the control knob clockwise. A clicking sound indicates power on. The green power indicator light will turn on.
  13. Mist will start in a few moments. Use the control knob to adjust mist intensity (clockwise increases output, counterclockwise decreases).
  14. Note: A faint dripping sound at maximum level is normal.
  15. Turn on the blue LED night light by pressing the 'LED On/Off' button. To turn it off, press and hold for 2 seconds.
  16. Turn on the color-changing night light by pressing the 'LED On/Off' button. The lights cycle through purple, dark blue, light blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. To turn it off, press and hold for 2 seconds.
  17. When the humidifier runs out of water, the power light turns red, and mist stops. This safety feature prevents overheating and protects the nebulizer using a water level sensor.
  18. Turn off and unplug before removing and refilling the water tank.

Setting the correct humidity output

Adjust mist control so mist rises and is absorbed by room air. Avoid excessive output, which causes condensation. If placed near a fan or AC outlet, mist may be forced down. Relocate the humidifier or adjust ventilation appliances.

Correct Mist Output: Mist rises and disperses into the air.

Incorrect Mist Output: Mist is forced downwards or accumulates.

Using essential oils

Essential oils can be used on the aroma pad in the aroma tray on the side of the base. Mix and match scents.

  1. Place about 3 drops of desired scent on the aroma pad (16).
  2. Insert the aroma tray into the base.
  3. Use each aroma pad for a specific scent.
  4. Before reusing an aroma pad with a different scent, clean it by hand washing in warm water and air drying thoroughly.

Helpful hints

  1. Maintain relative humidity at 30-50%.
  2. Comfort level varies by room and conditions.
  3. In cold weather, excessive humidity can cause window fogging or frost. Reduce mist intensity to prevent water dripping.
  4. Excessive humidity can lead to mold and bacteria growth on surfaces, potentially damaging furniture and walls.
  5. To eliminate excess humidity, especially in small rooms, leave the door open and adjust mist intensity.
  6. Use filtered or distilled water to avoid white dust from hard water.
  7. DO NOT use hot water. Use cool tap water.
  8. DO NOT add medication or other additives to the water.
  9. DO NOT pour water into the vapor outlet channel.
  10. Note: Do not move the humidifier while the water tank is in the base, as it may leak. Do not place on the floor; use an elevated surface.

Troubleshooting

CAUTION! Do not attempt to repair the motor or nebulizer yourself. Call customer service if the humidifier malfunctions.

Problem Solution
Power indicator light is red and not green. Clean the base, especially the water level sensor float.
Humidifier works then stops. Ensure it is properly plugged in. Check if the control knob is in the ON position. If the power light does not illuminate, take it to an authorized service station.
Strange odor detected. Clean the tank with water and vinegar or bleach, rinse with clean water. Leave the tank open in a cool place.
Power light is green, but no mist is emitted. Check if there is water in the tank. Check for lime deposits on the water level sensor or nebulizer. Ensure vapor output slots are not blocked. Check if the fan vent is blocked. Empty and rinse the water basin, allow to dry. Use filtered or distilled water if tap water has too many minerals.
White dust appears outside the humidifier. Tap water may contain too many minerals; change to filtered or distilled water.

Cleaning and maintenance

Regular cleaning reduces the risk of bacterial growth and scale buildup for optimal performance.

CAUTION! NEVER PLUG OR UNPLUG WITH WET HANDS. Ensure the humidifier is unplugged and OFF before cleaning or storing.

DO NOT leave water in the tank or basin when not in use, as this can lead to mineral deposits and bacterial growth, affecting efficiency. Bacterial growth is possible if water remains for more than a day or two.

NOTE: Water may accumulate under the vapor lid and on the bottom of the tank when removing it. Have a dry cloth ready.

Disinfecting the water tank and water basin

  1. Fill the water tank with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar or bleach in 1/2 gallon (1.9 L) of water. Let stand for 20 minutes. Screw on the cap, shake vigorously, drain, and rinse with clean water until the smell is gone. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
  2. Fill the base with water, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar or bleach, and let soak for 20 minutes. Drain and rinse with cool water. Dry with a soft cloth. DO NOT IMMERSE THE WATER BASIN IN WATER (risk of electric shock or damage).
  3. Wipe all exterior surfaces of the base with a damp, soft cloth.
  4. It is normal for water to be in the water basin, but not in the central body. If water enters the central body, take it to an authorized service center before reuse.

NOTE: Clean with the water and white vinegar solution about once a week or as needed.

IMPORTANT: Failure to keep the humidifier clean from mineral deposits will affect performance and may void the warranty.

Storage

Allow the humidifier to dry completely before storing in a dry location. Do not place heavy items on top. Always check the plug for attached metal items before use.
