Dock Station Installation

Place the charging dock on a level floor against a wall. Ensure at least 0.5 meters of clearance on both sides and 1.5 meters of clearance in front for the robot's access. Hide any excess power cord inside the dock. The charging indicator will light up when charging begins and turn off when fully charged.

Note: Ensure the waterproof pad is installed under the charging dock if placed on a wooden floor to prevent moisture damage.

Quick Setup and Connection

This product is compatible with the Mi Home smart home platform and can be controlled via the Mi Home app. It also supports the MIUI ecosystem and can connect to other Mi Home Smart Home products.

  1. Download the Mi Home App: Search for "Mi Home" in your app store or scan the provided QR code.
  2. Add Device: Open the "My Devices" page in the Mi Home app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner, and follow the on-screen instructions to add the robot.
  3. Wi-Fi Reset: If you encounter Wi-Fi issues, reset the Wi-Fi settings. Open the top cover, locate the Wi-Fi indicator, and press and hold the Spot Clean and Dock buttons simultaneously until you hear a voice prompt "Wi-Fi reset". The indicator will then slowly blink, indicating it's ready for connection.

Note: Wi-Fi connection only supports 2.4 GHz networks. For specific connection instructions, visit the Roborock website and download the instructions.

Using the Mopping Function

  1. Detach the Mopping Module: Press the side latches on the mopping module and pull to remove it.
  2. Fill the Water Reservoir: Open the water reservoir, fill it with water, and close it securely. Note: Use only clean water; some cleaning agents may damage the water filters.
  3. Install the Mopping Module: Align the mopping module with the robot and slide it in until it clicks.
  4. Attach the Mop Cloth: Wet the mop cloth, wring out excess water, and attach it to the mounting points on the mopping module.

Note: Remove the mopping module when not in use. Empty the water reservoir and dry the mop cloth to prevent mold or odors.

Operation

Starting a Clean:

Press the Power/Clean button (?) to start cleaning. The robot will plan a cleaning path based on the scanned map of the area. It cleans edges first, then follows a Z-shaped pattern for efficient coverage.

Note: The robot will not start cleaning if the battery is low. It will automatically return to the dock if the battery runs low during cleaning and resume once fully charged. Ensure all cables are cleared from the floor before starting to prevent entanglement.

Pause:

Press any button to pause the robot during cleaning. Press the Power/Clean button again to resume.

Returning to Dock:

Press and hold the Spot Clean/Dock button for 3 seconds to send the robot back to the dock station.

Sleep Mode:

If the robot is idle for over 10 minutes, it will enter sleep mode, indicated by a slowly blinking power indicator. Press any button to wake it up.

Note: The robot will not enter sleep mode while charging. It will automatically shut down if left in sleep mode for over 12 hours.

Charging:

The robot automatically returns to the dock for charging after cleaning. You can also manually initiate charging by pressing the Dock button.

Errors:

If an error occurs, the power indicator will flash red, and a voice prompt will announce the error. Refer to the troubleshooting section for solutions.

Cleaning Modes

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

Main Brush (Weekly Cleaning):

Clean the main brush weekly. Replace every 6-12 months for best results.

Dustbin (Bi-weekly Cleaning):

Open the dustbin lid, remove the dustbin, and empty its contents. Wash the dustbin with water and dry it thoroughly. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.

Air Filter (Bi-weekly Cleaning):

Rinse the air filter with water. Gently tap the filter frame against a hard surface to remove debris. Repeat until clean. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting.

Side Brush (Monthly Cleaning):

Remove the side brush by unscrewing the retaining screw. Clean the brush and the screw. Reattach the side brush.

Mop Cloth:

After use, detach the mop cloth, wash it, and dry it. Replace the mop cloth every 3-6 months.

Wheels (Monthly Cleaning):

Turn the robot upside down and remove the universal wheel. Clean any hair and debris from the wheel and its axle. Reinstall the universal wheel.

Troubleshooting

Refer to the following table for common issues and their solutions:

Issue Solution
Robot is stuck or blocked Rotate the LiDAR or check for blockages. Move the robot to a new location and restart.
Bumper is stuck Gently tap or remove the blockage. Move the robot to a new location and restart.
Robot not moving or not starting Ensure the robot is not in standby mode. Move it to a new location and restart. This might be due to a dirty or falsely triggered fall sensor. Clean the sensor and try again.
Fall sensor issues Clean the fall sensors and move the robot away from edges. Restart the robot.
Main brush tangled Remove and clean the main brush and its bearing.
Side brush tangled Remove and clean the side brush.
Wheels are blocked Ensure wheels are not blocked. Move the robot to a new location and restart.
Robot stuck or encountering obstacles Clear any obstacles around the robot.
Dustbin or filter issues Reinstall the dustbin and filter correctly. If the problem persists, replace the filter. Ensure the filter is dry before use.
Wi-Fi connection issues Turn off Wi-Fi, then turn it back on. Ensure the robot is within good Wi-Fi range. Reset Wi-Fi settings and try reconnecting. Update the mobile app.
Scheduled cleaning not working Ensure the battery level is sufficient (above 20%). Check if the robot is in "Do Not Disturb" mode.
Battery charging issues Clean charging contacts on both the robot and the dock. Ensure the dock is properly connected and powered. If the battery temperature is too high or too low, wait for it to normalize.
Robot not returning to dock Ensure the dock is placed correctly and has sufficient clearance. If the robot is too far from the dock, manually place it on the dock.
No water during mopping Check the water reservoir level and ensure it's properly installed. Ensure the mop cloth is correctly attached and wet.
Too much water during mopping Ensure the water flow setting is appropriate and the mop cloth is properly wrung out.
Cleaning not resuming after charging Ensure the robot is not in "Do Not Disturb" mode. Manual charging or repositioning may prevent resumption.
