The Sonance Professional Series PS-S43T Surface-Mount Speaker features the Patented FastMount® bracket and front cable connection for expedited installation and a clean appearance. Its IPX4 rated construction includes a weatherproof, high-impact, extreme temperature resistant cabinet and a corrosion-proof powder-coated aluminum grille, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. A high-excursion 4" polypropylene woofer provides extended low bass, even at high volumes, while the chambered 1" soft dome tweeter delivers accurate high-end detail and exceptional coverage. The PS-S43T is certified for UL 1480 (UEAY) and 2239. It is available in black or white (paintable).

Architectural Specifications

The loudspeaker is a two-way, surface-mount design featuring a 4" (100mm) polypropylene cone, butyl rubber surround low frequency transducer, and a coaxially mounted 1" (25mm) pivoting, ferrofluid-cooled cloth dome high frequency transducer. It utilizes a powder-coated, corrosion-resistant aluminum grille with friction-fit. The frequency range is 75Hz – 20KHz (-3dB). Total power handling is 30 Watts continuous pink noise and 60 Watts program. Sensitivity, measured with 2.83 volts input at 1 meter on axis averaged between 75Hz – 20KHz, is 87dB. The unit includes a line-matching transformer suitable for 100V or 70V systems, with a front-mounted control for user-selectable power taps (30W, 15W, 7.5W, and 3.8W for 70V) and an 8 Ohm bypass. A FastMount bracket allows for a full 180° of pivot while keeping the speaker less than 1" from the mounting surface. Wire termination is via a front-mounted, four-pin Euroblock connector with loop-through connections, fed through a Protected Access Connection Terminal. The system is certified for UL 1480 (UEAY) and UL 2239, conforms to MIL-STD-810 for environmental resistance (humidity, salt spray, temperature), and meets or exceeds an IPX4 splash-proof rating. External dimensions are 9.25" Height x 5.47" Width x 4.8" Depth (235mm x 139mm x 122mm). Each unit weighs 3 lbs (1.36 kg). The loudspeaker maintains consistent voicing with other form factors and sizes within its product family for continuity of sonic signature within a project. Warranty

Sonance provides a limited five (5) year warranty from the date of original purchase against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and conditions. This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser. The warranty is void if the invoice fails to establish purchase from an authorized dealer, the product is misused, neglected, or improperly installed, modified by unauthorized personnel, or not used as described in the operating instructions. Sonance agrees, at its option, to repair or replace any defective product. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, which are expressly disclaimed. Sonance shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, consequential damages, loss, or injury.
