Important Safety Instructions
Your VIZIO TV is designed for safe operation within defined limits. Misuse can result in electric shock or fire. Always observe the following instructions for installation, use, and maintenance. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
- Switch off power before connecting other components to reduce the risk of electric shock or component damage.
- Read and keep these instructions. Heed all warnings and follow all instructions.
- Do not use the apparatus near water or clean with a dry cloth only.
- Do not block ventilation openings and install according to manufacturer instructions.
- Avoid heat sources like radiators, stoves, or amplifiers.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of polarized or grounding-type plugs. Consult an electrician if your outlet is incompatible.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.
- Use only manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories.
- Use only with compatible carts, stands, tripods, brackets, or tables. Exercise caution when moving combinations to prevent tip-overs.
- Unplug during lightning storms or when unused for extended periods.
- Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required for damage, spills, exposure to rain/moisture, abnormal operation, or drops.
- Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
- Allow the TV to acclimate to temperature changes before turning on to prevent fire, electric shock, or component damage.
- Maintain at least three feet distance from heat sources and avoid proximity to smoke or moisture.
- Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating and ensure reliable operation.
- Never insert objects into slots or place items on top of the TV, as this can cause short circuits, fire, or electric shock. Never spill liquids on the TV.
- Operate the TV only from the indicated power source type.
- Do not apply pressure or throw objects at the TV, as this may compromise the display integrity. User abuse or improper installations are not covered by warranty.
- Power cords must be replaced if using a different voltage.
- Your TV has a three-pronged grounded plug for safety. If your outlet is not grounded, have an electrician install a correct outlet or use a grounding adapter.
- Power is always flowing when connected to an outlet; unplug the power cord for total disconnection.
- The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol indicates the presence of dangerous voltage.
- Do not overload power strips and extension cords to prevent fire or electric shock.
- Ensure the wall socket is near and accessible.
- Only use the marked voltage; other voltages may cause fire or electric shock.
- Do not touch the power cord during lightning or electrical storms.
- Unplug during lightning storms or long periods of non-use to protect against power surges.
- Do not attempt self-repair; opening covers exposes you to hazards. Contact your dealer for service.
- Keep the TV away from moisture; unplug and contact your dealer if water penetrates.
- Do not use if any abnormality occurs (smoke, odor); unplug and contact your dealer immediately.
- Avoid using dropped or damaged appliances; unplug and contact your dealer for repair if housing is damaged.
- Do not install in areas with heavy dust or high humidity.
- Follow instructions for moving the TV, unplugging all cables first.
- When unplugging, hold the AC/DC power adapter, not the cord.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not touch connectors with wet hands.
- Insert batteries according to instructions, observing polarity. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat.
- Contact the dealer if the power cord frays, liquid spills, the TV is exposed to moisture, is damaged, or its performance substantially changes.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no liquid-filled objects shall be placed on it.
- The mains plug serves as the disconnect device and must remain readily operable.
- CAUTION: Servicing should only be performed by qualified personnel.
