Important Safety Instructions
Your TV is designed and manufactured to operate within defined design limits. Misuse may result in electric shock or fire. To prevent your TV from being damaged, observe the following instructions for installation, use, and maintenance. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.

- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

- Do not defeat the safety purpose of polarized or grounding-type plugs. Consult an electrician for outlet replacement if the plug does not fit.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer. Use caution when moving carts to avoid tip-over.
- Unplug during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Unplug the power cord before cleaning your TV.
- When moving your TV from a cold to a warm environment, wait before turning it on to avoid condensation damage.
- Maintain at least three feet between the TV and any heat source. Do not install near smoke; this may cause fire or electric shock.
- Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked. Do not place the TV in a bookcase or cabinet unless proper ventilation is provided.
- Never push objects into slots or openings, or place objects on top of the TV. Never spill liquids on your TV.
- Operate the TV only from the type of power source indicated on the label.
- Do not apply pressure or throw objects at your TV.
- Replace the power cord if using a different voltage than specified.
- To totally disconnect power, unplug the power cord.
- The lightning flash symbol within an equilateral triangle alerts users to the presence of un-isolated, dangerous voltage.
- Do not overload power strips and extension cords.
- Ensure the wall socket is installed near your TV and easily accessible.
- Only use the marked voltage.
- Do not touch the power cord during lightning.
- Unplug during lightning storms to protect from power surges.
- Do not attempt to repair the TV yourself. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
- Keep the TV away from moisture. If water penetrates, unplug and contact your dealer.
- Do not use if any abnormality occurs (e.g., smoke, odor). Unplug and contact your dealer.
- Avoid using dropped or damaged appliances.
- Do not install in areas with heavy dust or high humidity.
- Follow instructions for moving your TV. Ensure cables are unplugged.
- When unplugging, hold the AC/DC power adapter, not the cord.
- Do not touch connectors with wet hands.
- Insert batteries according to instructions, observing polarity. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat.
- Contact the dealer if the power cord frays, liquid spills, the TV is exposed to moisture, the TV is dropped or damaged, or performance changes substantially.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing. No liquid-filled objects shall be placed on the apparatus.
- The mains plug or appliance coupler is the disconnect device and shall remain readily operable.

Using the Remote

Front Controls:
- INPUT: Change the currently-displayed input.
- A/V CONTROLS: Control USB media player.
- CLOSED CAPTIONS: Open the closed caption menu.
- EXIT: Close the on-screen menu.
- OK: Select the highlighted menu option.
- BACK: Go to the previous on-screen menu.
- VOLUME UP/DOWN: Increase or decrease audio loudness.
- MUTE: Turn audio off or on.
- NUMBER PAD: Manually enter a channel.
- WIDE: Switch the display mode.
- APP LAUNCHER: Quickly launch the pictured app.
- POWER: Turn TV on or off.
- INFO: Display the info window.
- MENU: Display the on-screen menu.
- ARROW: Navigate the on-screen menu.
- GUIDE: Display the info window.
- V BUTTON: Open the VIA dock.
- CHANNEL UP/DOWN: Change the channel.
- LAST: Return to the channel last viewed.
- DASH: Use with the number pad to enter a digital sub-channel (e.g., 18-4).
Rear Controls & Features:
DO NOT COVER THIS AREA: This is the transmitter.
- ARROW: Use to navigate on-screen menus.
- SHIFT: Press and hold while pressing another key to enter a capital letter.
- ALT: Press and hold while pressing another key to enter a blue character (e.g., ALT + W for '#').
- V.I.A. SHORTCUT BUTTONS: Control VIZIO Internet Apps.
Installing the Base
Follow these steps to install the TV base:
- Place the base cover upside down resting on a ledge. Slide the neck piece downward into place.
- Slide the base bracket into the edge with the appropriate notch pieces. Rest the entire base bracket into the cover.
- Attach the base bracket by tightening the four (4) included M5 8mm Pan Head Screws into the center holes.
- Tighten the five (5) included M4 8mm Flat Head Screws into the holes as shown. Holes are marked with arrows.
- Slide the collar piece downward into place over the neck.
- Place the TV screen-down on a clean, flat surface (e.g., carpet, rug, or blanket) to prevent scratches. Insert the neck into the TV and tighten the four (4) included M5 16mm Pan Head Screws.
- Slide the base cover into place.
- Place the TV on a stable, level surface.
First-Time Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Remote Setup: Remove the battery cover by pressing gently on the cover and sliding away from the remote. Insert the included batteries. Gently slide the battery cover back into place.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
- Cable Connections:
- If using an antenna or cable connection, connect it to the TV with an RF/Coaxial cable.
- If using a high-speed internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or router to the back of the TV's ETHERNET port.
- Initial Power On: Turn the TV on by pressing the Power button on the remote. The Setup App will display.
- Mode Selection: Use the Arrow buttons on the remote to highlight 'Home Use' and press OK. Then, highlight 'Home Mode Setup' and press OK.
- Internet Connection: You can connect via wired (Ethernet) or wireless (WiFi). Select your wireless network name from the list and press OK. Enter your network key using the on-screen keyboard, then highlight 'Connect' and press OK.
- Terms & Privacy: Use the OK and Arrow buttons to read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for Yahoo! TV Widgets. Highlight 'Next' and press OK.
- Personal Information: Enter your First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, ZIP Code, and E-mail Address using the on-screen keyboard. Highlight 'Next' and press OK.
- TV Signal Setup: Answer the on-screen questions about your TV connection (e.g., signal source, input). Ensure your connected devices are turned on. Use the Arrow and OK buttons to navigate.
- Channel Scan: When the channel scan is finished, highlight 'Exit to Live TV' and press OK. The First-Time Setup is complete.
Connecting Your Devices

Match colored connectors to colored ports for proper connection.
Choose ONE connection type per device (cables are not included):
- AV CABLE (GOOD): For ANALOG video (480i) and STEREO AUDIO.
- COMPONENT CABLE (BETTER): For ANALOG HD VIDEO (1080i) and STEREO AUDIO.
- HDMI CABLE (BEST): For DIGITAL video (1080p) and DIGITAL AUDIO.
Commonly-connected devices include Cable or Satellite Boxes, Blu-ray™ or DVD Players, and Game Consoles.
Getting Started with VIZIO Internet Apps (V.I.A.)
Ensure your TV is connected to the Internet (Ethernet or wireless). A high-speed internet connection is recommended for the best V.I.A. experience.
Press the V.I.A. button on the remote to open the V.I.A. Dock, which displays on the bottom of the screen.
Use the Arrow buttons on the remote to highlight an app and press OK to open it.
Your V.I.A Dock comes with popular apps pre-loaded. To add more apps, open the 'Connected TV Store' app.
Within the store, highlight 'Categories' and press OK. Select a category and browse available apps. When you find an app you want to add, highlight 'Add Widget to My Profile' and press OK.

Help Topics
How do I return to the Setup App?
Press MENU, then select Help > Guided Setup. Select your setup type and press OK. To reset to factory defaults, press MENU > Help > Reset TV Settings, then select Yes. (Note: All settings will be lost.)
There is a picture, but there is no sound.
Press VOLUME UP. Ensure MUTE is off. Press MENU, select Audio, and ensure TV Speakers is set to On.
The TV displays "No Signal."
Ensure connected devices are turned on. Press INPUT and select the correct input (HDMI-1, AV, Component, etc.).
There are black/gray bars on the screen.
Some channels add black bars. Set the TV to Wide or Zoom mode via MENU > Wide. Adjust video settings on your external device.
There is no power.
Ensure the power cord is securely connected to a working outlet. Press the POWER button. If issues persist, try a different outlet.

Limited Warranty
On Parts and Labor: Covers units purchased new in the United States and Puerto Rico only. VIZIO warrants against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year of non-commercial usage and ninety (90) days of commercial use. VIZIO will repair or replace defective products at its sole option.
Obtaining Warranty Service: Contact VIZIO Technical Support via email (TechSupport@VIZIO.com) or phone (877 MY VIZIO / 877.698.4946) during operating hours. PRE-AUTHORIZATION IS REQUIRED before sending any product to a VIZIO service center. Proof of purchase is required.
Replacement Parts and Products: May be new or recertified. Warranted for the remaining portion of the original warranty or for ninety (90) days from service/replacement, whichever is greater.
Type of Service: Defective products must be sent to a VIZIO service center. VIZIO covers return shipping but not transportation costs to the center. Use original packaging or equivalent for shipping.
Limitations and Exclusions: Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only. It does not cover cosmetic damage, normal wear and tear, improper operation, voltage issues, signal issues, shipping damage, acts of God, customer misuse, modifications, or unauthorized repairs. Products with unreadable serial numbers, sold "AS IS", "FACTORY RECERTIFIED", or by non-authorized resellers are not covered.
Express Warranties: No express warranties exist beyond those listed. Implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose) are limited to the duration of this warranty.
Liability Limitation: VIZIO's total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product. VIZIO is not responsible for loss of use, data, commercial loss, lost revenue, or consequential damages. Some states may not allow limitations on implied warranty duration or exclusion of incidental/consequential damages.
Personal Data: All personal data stored on the product will be deleted during warranty service. VIZIO recommends clearing personal information before service.
Zero Bright Pixel Defect Guarantee: This policy covers "zero bright pixel" defects for the duration of the limited "ONE YEAR WARRANTY" on select new product purchases. Refer to the model's product information page or box for details.
