Tips
- Foods/ingredients that can be prepared in the oven can also be prepared in the air fryer.
- Smaller foods/ingredients usually require a shorter preparation time than larger foods/ingredients.
- A larger quantity of food/ingredients requires only a longer preparation time.
- Shaking smaller ingredients halfway through the preparation time optimizes the final result and can help prevent unevenly fried foods/ingredients.
- Add a drizzle of oil to fresh potatoes and fry the food/ingredients for a few more minutes for a crispy result.
- Do not prepare extremely fatty foods/ingredients such as sausages in the air fryer.
- The optimal quantity for cooking crispy fries is 500 grams.
- Use pre-packaged dough to cook snacks quickly and easily. Pre-packaged dough also requires a shorter preparation time than homemade dough.
- Use a baking pan or dish in the air fryer basket if you want to bake a cake or quiche or if you want to fry fragile or filled ingredients.
- You can also use the air fryer to reheat food/ingredients. To reheat food/ingredients, set the temperature to 150 °C for a maximum of 10 minutes.
Making Homemade French Fries
To make homemade french fries, follow the steps below:
- Peel and slice the potatoes.
- Wash the potato sticks well and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
- Pour 1/2 tablespoon of oil into a bowl, place the potatoes on top and mix so that they are coated with oil.
- Remove the potatoes from the bowl with your fingers or a kitchen utensil so that excess oil remains in the bowl. Place the potatoes in the basket.
- Fry the potatoes according to the instructions.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible causes | Solutions |
---|---|---|
The air fryer does not work | The appliance is not plugged in. | Plug the appliance into a grounded wall socket. |
The timer has not been set. | Turn the timer knob to the required preparation time to turn on the appliance. | |
Fried ingredients with the AIR FRYER are not cooked correctly. | The quantity of ingredients in the basket is too large. | Insert a smaller quantity of ingredients. Smaller ingredients fry and move more evenly. |
Ingredients are fried unevenly. | Some ingredients need to be shaken halfway through cooking. | Ingredients that are on top of each other (e.g., french fries) need to be shaken halfway through. See the "Settings" section in "Using the appliance". |
Fried snacks are not crispy at the end of cooking. | You have chosen a type of snack intended for preparation in a traditional fryer. | Use oven snacks or brush them lightly with a little oil for a crispier result. |
I cannot slide the basket into the appliance correctly. | There are too many ingredients in the basket. | Do not fill the basket beyond the MAX indication. |
The basket is not positioned correctly in the pan. | Push the basket into the pan until you hear a click. | |
White smoke comes out of the appliance. | You are preparing fatty ingredients. | When frying fatty ingredients in the fryer, a large amount of oil will drip into the pan. The oil produces smoke and the pan may overheat more than usual. This does not affect the appliance or the final result. |
The basket still contains grease residue from previous use. | White smoke is caused by the heating of the grease in the basket. Make sure to clean the basket properly after each use. |
