Troubleshooting

Problem Possible causes Solutions
The air fryer does not work The appliance is not plugged in. Plug the appliance into a grounded wall socket.
The timer has not been set. Turn the timer knob to the required preparation time to turn on the appliance.
Fried ingredients with the AIR FRYER are not cooked correctly. The quantity of ingredients in the basket is too large. Insert a smaller quantity of ingredients. Smaller ingredients fry and move more evenly.
Ingredients are fried unevenly. Some ingredients need to be shaken halfway through cooking. Ingredients that are on top of each other (e.g., french fries) need to be shaken halfway through. See the "Settings" section in "Using the appliance".
Fried snacks are not crispy at the end of cooking. You have chosen a type of snack intended for preparation in a traditional fryer. Use oven snacks or brush them lightly with a little oil for a crispier result.
I cannot slide the basket into the appliance correctly. There are too many ingredients in the basket. Do not fill the basket beyond the MAX indication.
The basket is not positioned correctly in the pan. Push the basket into the pan until you hear a click.
White smoke comes out of the appliance. You are preparing fatty ingredients. When frying fatty ingredients in the fryer, a large amount of oil will drip into the pan. The oil produces smoke and the pan may overheat more than usual. This does not affect the appliance or the final result.
The basket still contains grease residue from previous use. White smoke is caused by the heating of the grease in the basket. Make sure to clean the basket properly after each use.
