Assembly Instructions
This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA KNIVSHULT push opener, designed to add a push-to-open function to drawers.
Tools Required: Tape measure, saw.
Before commencing, verify that all parts listed are present. If you encounter any difficulties or are unsure about a step, please seek assistance.

Assembly Steps
Step 1: Preparation and Cutting
Measure and cut components to the specified lengths. For example, a 125 mm measurement is indicated for part 10050915. Another measurement of 325 mm is shown for a different component.
Discard any excess material appropriately.
Step 2: Drawer Slide Assembly
Assemble the main drawer slide mechanisms. Attach the slide components (e.g., 10051628, 10051688) to their respective parts, ensuring correct orientation.
Insert pins or connectors as illustrated in the detail views to secure the assembly.
Step 3: Push Opener Rod Preparation
Prepare the push opener rod (10050910). Attach the end connectors to the rod.
This step is shown in relation to different drawer widths: 40 cm, 60 cm, and 80 cm.
Step 4: Attaching Drawer Slides to Cabinet
Identify the left (L) and right (R) drawer slides. Align these slides with the pre-drilled holes on the interior sides of the cabinet.
Secure the slides firmly. A distinct 'Click!' sound indicates that the slide has been correctly engaged with its mounting point.
Step 5: Attaching Mechanism to Drawer
Attach the corresponding parts of the push opener mechanism to the sides of the drawer itself.
Use the provided clips or connectors (2x) to securely fasten the mechanism to the drawer.
Step 6: Mounting Plates Installation
Attach the mounting plates (e.g., 10050905, 10050926) to the drawer slides that are now fixed to the cabinet.
Follow the diagrams to ensure correct positioning and secure attachment of these plates.
Final Installation: Inserting Drawer
Carefully insert the assembled drawer into the cabinet. Ensure that the push opener mechanism on the drawer correctly engages with the slides and mounting plates installed in the cabinet.
Finally, secure the push opener mechanism to the cabinet interior using the provided fasteners (4x 107091).
Care and Cleaning
Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild non-abrasive washing-up detergent or soap, if necessary.
