AIRMAX Dock Mount - Installation Instructions
Ice Eater | Olympus Fountain | Power House Aeration
The Dock Mount is the premium option for positioning your Ice Eater and/or Weeds Away devices. It offers control from your dock, allowing easy adjustment of depth, direction, and angle with simple turns of the tightening handle. The unit features a steel mounting base, bail, and pipe holders, all finished with a heavy-duty marine-grade double powder coating for maximum corrosion protection. Stainless steel fasteners are included for use in all saltwater applications.
Note: New models of Ice Eater & Weeds Away shrouds come with dock mount holes. If your shroud has these holes, you can skip to step #3 in the main installation process.
Installation Steps
Locate holes to be drilled at 45° from the motor brackets. A second set of holes will be directly across from the first set.
[Diagram: Circular shroud component with markings indicating drilling points at 45-degree angles from the center.]
Using a 9/16" drill bit, drill the first hole at 7 1/2" (for P750 & P1000 models) or 6" (for P500 models) from the bottom of the shroud. Drill a second hole 2 1/2" vertically from the first hole.
Refer to Page 2 for detailed instructions with pictures.
After holes are drilled, attach the bail to the shroud using 1/2" x 1 1/4" bolts, washers, and nuts.
Using the top of the bail as a guide, drill a 3/8" hole through the pole. Attach the pole and bail together with the remaining 3/8" x 16 x 2 1/4" bolt, washer, and CSNA nut.

Instructions for Drilling Shroud Assembly
Step 1:
Locate holes to be drilled at 45° from motor brackets. A second set of holes will be directly across from the first set.
[Diagram: Circular shroud component with markings indicating drilling points at 45-degree angles from the center.]
Step 2:
Drill the first hole at 7 1/2" from the bottom of the shroud. Drill a second hole 2 1/2" vertically from the first hole. Using a 9/16" bit, drill holes in the shroud. After holes are drilled, attach the bail to the shroud by placing a flat washer onto the 1/2” bolt. Slide the bolt through the holes; the head of the bolt and flat washer should be on the outside of the shroud. The lock washer and nut secure everything together on the inside of the shroud. Repeat this process for all 4 holes.

Options for Dock or Pole Mounting
Dock Mount:
This configuration shows the Dock Mount bracket secured to a dock surface using lag bolts (not included). A pipe is inserted into the mount, providing a stable base for the Ice Eater or Weeds Away unit.

Pole Mount:
This configuration shows a pipe mounted vertically using a U-bolt assembly (not included) attached to a dock surface. The Dock Mount bracket is then attached to this pipe.

Safety Tips:
When setting up your Ice Eater or Weeds Away on a dock mount, prioritize safety and ease of use. To enhance these, consider adding the following accessories when purchasing the 6-foot pole:
Safety Hitch Pin:
Drill a 1/2" hole from the top of the 6-foot pipe and insert a safety hitch pin to prevent the pole from slipping out of the mount.
[Diagram: Close-up of the top of a pipe with a hole, showing a safety hitch pin inserted to secure it.]
Install Shaft Collar:
Attach a shaft collar to the 6-foot pole for an additional layer of security, keeping it firmly in place and reducing slippage during adjustments.

Note: These items (safety hitch pin, shaft collar) are not included in your order; they can be purchased from your local hardware store.
