Installation Instructions
Model: HOLMDEL 7828
The document includes a diagram illustrating the fixture's components and hardware. A parts list table details each component with its label, replacement name, and part number. Key components include the Mounting Plate (A), various screws and nuts (B, C, G, H), wire nuts (D), a driver (O), and decorative elements like Acrylic (J) and Alabaster shades (M, N).
Step-by-Step Installation
- Determine the location for the lamp. Using the mounting plate as a template, mark the location of the holes for the WALL ANCHOR (F).
- Drill the appropriate size holes for the WALL ANCHOR (F). The holes should be slightly smaller than the size of the anchors. Install the wall anchors into the holes.
- Attach the MOUNTING PLATE (A) onto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B). This fixture is designed to be mounted on a standard junction box. The junction box must be securely mounted to the structure of the building. Screw in the WOOD SCREW (E) to the WALL ANCHOR (F).
- Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the outlet box (generally green or bar copper wire) or the GROUND SCREW (C) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). Never connect the ground wire to the "hot" wire. Failure to follow this could result in serious injury or death.
- Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral (generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (D). Starting 1" below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape so that the connections seal the end of the fastener. Make sure there are no exposed wire strands that could cause a dangerous short circuit.
- Connect the black fixture leads to the hot (generally black) wire in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires the same as the previous step. Never reverse hot and neutral wires. Failure to follow this could result in serious injury or death.
- Push the wires and DRIVER (O) back into the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (I) (WITH LED).
- Attach the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (I) (WITH LED) to the MOUNTING PLATE (A) and secure with the NUT (G) and CAP NUT (H).
- Attach the ACRYLIC (J), ALABASTER A,B (M,N) (place according to the alabaster corner marks in the front view) and SILICONE WASHER (K), and secure with the FINIAL (L).
- Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
