The Hudson Valley Lighting HL263202 fixture is designed for both plug-in and hardwire installations. Please refer to the detailed steps below for proper setup.

Installation Instructions

Plug-In Fixture Installation

1. Mark and drill holes for wall anchors, then insert anchors.
2. Secure wood screws into wall anchors.
3. Attach the mounting plate to the fixture assembly and hang onto the wood screw.
4. Screw in the bulb (G). This fixture is rated for a maximum 10-watt LED Type T10-5.5 lamp. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
5. Adjust the arm length and shade angle using the adjust pin (F).
6. Plug the cord (I) into the wall outlet and turn on the switch (H).

Hardwire Fixture Installation

1. Prepare the cord, ensuring it is at least 6 inches long within the outlet box.
2. Determine the lamp location and mark holes for wall anchors using the mounting plate as a template.
3. Drill appropriate size holes for wall anchors and install them.
4. Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using mounting screws. Ensure the junction box is securely mounted to the building structure.
5. Connect the ground wire to the ground inside the outlet box or the ground screw on the mounting plate. Never connect the ground wire to the "hot" wire.
6. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral wire in the outlet box using an approved fastener and electrical tape.
7. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot wire in the junction box, securing the connections similarly. Never reverse hot and neutral wires.
8. Attach the fixture assembly to the mounting plate and secure with fixture mounting screws.
9. Screw the bulb (G) into the socket. This fixture is rated for a maximum 10-watt LED Type T10-5.5 lamp. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
10. Install the plug (N) into the hole of the canopy.
11. Adjust the arm length and shade angle using the adjust pin (F).
12. Restore power at the breaker or fuse box.
