Preparation for Installation
Carefully remove all contents from the carton. Shut off power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture and mounting bracket.
Attach one end of the threaded post (H) to the mounting bracket (A) with a hex nut (G). Connect the other end to the canopy loop (E). Unscrew the canopy loop ring (F) from the canopy loop (E).
Adjust the position of the threaded post (H) on the mounting bracket (A) so the canopy (D) sits flush with the ceiling and covers at least half of the canopy loop's (E) exterior threads. Tighten hex nuts (G) to secure the post.
Assembling the Fixture
Install glass (O) into shade (P), securing with bendable tabs.
Attach one end of a rod (M) to the hook (L). Use the quick-connect link (N) to attach the other end of rod (M) to the lamp shade (P).
When installing rods, keep the fixture's weight on the center column (K, L) to prevent rods from disconnecting.
Use the included 12-inch (I) and 6-inch (J) rods to achieve the desired hanging height. Add rods to lengthen, trim wires to shorten. Ensure at least 8-10 inches of wire remain.
Thread wires through the rods. Pull wires taut before connecting rods. Ensure all threads are engaged but do not overtighten.
Screw the assembled rods onto the threaded post (K) on the fixture.
Pull fixture wires through the canopy loop ring (F), canopy (D), and canopy loop (E).
Screw the top rod to the canopy loop (E).
With a helper supporting the fixture's weight, attach the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box using mounting screws (B).
Connecting the Wires
Connect the fixture wires to the power supply wires from the junction box:
- Fixture Black (or Smooth) → House Black (Live)
- Fixture White (or Ribbed) → House White (Grounded)
- Fixture Ground (Bare Copper or Green) → House Ground (Green or Copper)
Twist wire ends together in the same direction and secure with a wire connector.
Loop the fixture's ground wire around the grounding screw (C) and tighten.
If no ground wire is present from the junction box, contact a qualified electrician.
Finishing the Installation
Place the canopy (D) flush to the ceiling. Slide the canopy loop ring (F) up beneath the canopy.
Screw the canopy loop ring (F) onto the canopy loop (E) to secure the canopy (D).
Install the light bulb (not included) according to fixture specifications. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
Turn on the power and test the fixture. Installation is complete.
Cleaning Tips
Treat the fixture gently. Regular cleaning reduces the need for deep cleaning.
For regular cleaning: Turn off the light and wipe the fixture with a clean, lint-free cotton or microfiber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the fixture.
Notices and Tips
NOTICE: To use a 12-inch rod by itself, remove the post from the 6-inch rod and install it on one end of the 12-inch rod.
Hunter Pro Tip: Twist or tape wire ends together to make them easier to pass through the downrods. The threaded post may also be removed for easier wire access.
