Hunter Woodburn 8-Light Foyer Pendant Installation Guide
Models: 19857, 19858
Fixture Weight: 16.3 lbs (10.57 kg)
Preparation for Installation
Carefully unpack all contents. Shut off power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture. Prepare the new mounting bracket assembly. Adjust the threaded post (D) on the mounting bracket (A) so that the canopy (F) sits flush with the ceiling, covering at least half of the canopy loop's (G) external threads. Secure the threaded post (D) by tightening the hex nut (E) beneath the mounting bracket (A).
Assembling the Fixture
Attach the cleat (R) to the bottom threaded post of the fixture (Q). Thread wires through and screw the rod (O) to the top threaded post of the fixture (Q). Slide cleat (N) and cross plate (M) over the rod's threaded post. Insert frame piece (P) into the slots on cleats (R, N). Secure cross plate (M) to frame piece (P) with screw (L), but do not fully tighten until all frame pieces are in place. Thread wires through and screw hanging ring (K) onto the rod's threaded post. Fit cleat plate (S) over cleat (R), place cover (T) over cleat plate (S), and secure with finial (U).
Determine the correct number of chain links for the desired hanging height. Trim excess wires, leaving 8-10 inches. Use pliers to open and remove excess chain links if necessary. Attach a quick-connect link (J) to each end of the chain (I). Connect one link (J) to the hanging ring (K) and close securely. Feed fixture wires up through the chain (every three links). Slide canopy loop ring (H) and canopy (F) onto the chain/wires, feeding wires through the canopy loop (G). Use the remaining quick-connect link (J) to attach the chain (I) to the canopy loop (G). With assistance to support the fixture's weight, attach the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box by tightening mounting screws (C).
Connecting the Wires
Connect the fixture wires to the power supply wires from the junction box:
- Fixture Black wire to House Black wire (live).
- Fixture White wire to House White wire (neutral).
- Fixture Bare Copper/Green wire to House Green/Copper wire (grounding).
Twist wire ends together and secure with wire connectors. Ensure all twists are in the same direction. Loop the fixture's ground wire around the grounding screw (B) and tighten. If no ground wire is present from the junction box, contact a qualified electrician.
Finishing the Installation
Place the canopy (F) flush to the ceiling. Slide the canopy loop ring (H) up beneath the canopy and screw it tightly onto the canopy loop (G) to secure the canopy (F). Install light bulbs (not included) according to fixture specifications, not exceeding the recommended wattage. Turn on the power and test the fixture.
Cleaning Tips
Handle the fixture gently. Regular cleaning reduces the need for deep cleaning. Turn off the light and wipe the fixture with a clean, lint-free cotton or microfiber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the fixture.

Safety Warnings
⚠️ Electrical Safety: To avoid possible electrical shock, disconnect power at the circuit breaker before installation. Ensure the fixture is grounded. If no ground wire is present, stop and consult a qualified electrician. All wiring must comply with national and local electrical codes (ANSI/NFPA 70). If unsure about wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
Hunter Pro Tips
- ? Use chain pliers to easily open and close chain links for fixture height adjustment.
- ? Twist or tape wire ends together to ease passing them through downrods. The threaded post may also be removed for easier wire access.
