Important Information Regarding Memory Card Usage
In rare cases, technical problems may occur when using UHS-I SD cards. To generally avoid this error and ensure the best possible performance of your camera, Leica recommends using UHS-II cards.
Firmware Updates
Leica continuously works on the further development and optimization of its cameras. As many camera functions are controlled purely by software, improvements and extensions to the scope of functions can be installed on your camera retrospectively. For this purpose, Leica offers firmware updates at irregular intervals, which are available for download on the Leica homepage. If your camera is registered, Leica will inform you about all new updates. Users of Leica FOTOS will also be automatically informed about firmware updates for their Leica cameras.
Firmware updates can be installed in two different ways:
- Conveniently via the Leica FOTOS app
- Directly via the camera menu
To determine which firmware version is installed:
- In the main menu, select Camera Information.
- The current firmware version is displayed next to the menu item Firmware Version Camera.
A visual representation of the camera menu shows the following options:
- Camera Information
- Firmware Version Camera
- MAC Address (Wi-Fi)
- MAC Address (Bluetooth)
- License Information
- Regulatory Information
- Copyright Information
Further information on registration, firmware updates, and their downloads for your camera, as well as any changes and additions to the descriptions in this manual, can be found in the "Customer Area" at: club.leica-camera.com.
