Vertical Load Capacity (s/Max.): 75 kg
Maximum Towing Mass (Max.): 1500 kg
Installation Instructions
- Disassemble the bumper and remove the protection plate from the left wheel housing. Loosen the exhaust at the rear and permanently remove the metal buffer beam.
- On the outside of the chassis beams, remove the tape sealing the pre-provided holes. Slide the tow bar with its support arms into the chassis beam through the openings freed up after removing the buffer beam. The points (A) should align with the pre-provided holes. Insert the bolts and washers and tighten everything securely (refer to torque specifications).
- Mount the ball (*) or the housing of the detachable ball onto the tow bar.
- Make an incision in the underside of the bumper according to the drawing. Attention: Drawing 1 is for the fixed ball (type T44), Drawing 2 is for the detachable system (type T36).

Diagrams and Clearance Requirements
Figure 1: Bumper Cutout Template
This diagram illustrates the shape and dimensions required for cutting the underside of the bumper for the tow bar installation. It shows a left cutout with dimensions 110mm height and 75mm width, and a right cutout with dimensions 50mm width and 90mm height. The overall width at the base is indicated as 87.5mm. The diagram is marked with L (Left), M (Centerline), B (Bottom), and R (Right).
Figure 2: Bumper Cutout Template
This diagram shows an alternative shape and dimensions for cutting the underside of the bumper, likely for a different tow bar type. It features a left cutout with dimensions 110mm height and 75mm width, and a right cutout with dimensions 115mm height and 105mm width. The overall width at the base is 87.5mm. The right cutout has a depth of 40mm and a height of 35mm at the rear. The diagram is marked with L (Left), M (Centerline), B (Bottom), and R (Right).
Clearance Specifications
The following clearance requirements must be guaranteed, as specified in appendix VII, diagram 30 of guideline 94/20/EG. These apply at the laden weight of the vehicle.
- Maximum angle for certain parts: 45° (indicated in diagrams)
- Maximum angle for other parts: 30° (indicated in diagrams)
- Minimum clearance dimensions: 140mm, 65mm, 32mm, 55mm, 75mm (indicated in diagrams)
- Maximum clearance dimensions: 100mm, R14.5, R40 (indicated in diagrams)
The diagrams on page 12 illustrate these clearance requirements with specific measurements and angles.
