At a Glance

Wi-Fi Gateway

The Wi-Fi Gateway is a rectangular device with power prongs for wall outlet connection. It features:

① Indicator Light: A small circular light on the front.
② Function Button: A circular button below the indicator light.
③ Power Prongs: Located on the back for plugging into an electrical outlet.

Thermo-Hygrometer

The Thermo-Hygrometer is a compact, elongated device. It includes:

① Sensor Hole: A small opening on the front for environmental sensing.
② Lanyard Hole: A small hole at the top for attaching a lanyard.
③ Battery Compartment Cover: Located on the back, removable for battery access.
④ Open Slot: A slot on the back, likely for opening the battery compartment.

Govee Home App

Additional features can be accessed using the Govee Home App.

Downloading Govee Home App

To download the Govee Home App, scan the provided QR code or search for "Govee" in the Apple App Store® (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Note:

Choose "Allow" for the permissions requested when first opening the Govee Home App. These permissions enable the app's features to function normally and are not used to record personal, private information.
Due to ongoing updates, the Govee Home App interface may differ slightly from what is shown in this manual. Always follow the in-app instructions for the most accurate guidance.

Pairing with Govee Home App

① Add the Wi-Fi Gateway

Note: Ensure your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network is functioning properly before pairing the Wi-Fi Gateway to the network.

Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and place it close to the Wi-Fi Gateway. Location Services/GPS should be turned on for Android users.
Open the Govee Home App, tap the "+" icon at the top right corner, and select "H5151" from the device list.
Follow the in-app instructions to complete the pairing process.
Once pairing is completed, the Wi-Fi Gateway icon will appear in the top left corner on the "My Devices" page.
If pairing fails, recheck the above steps and attempt the process again.

② Add the Thermo-Hygrometer (H5100)

Pull out the battery insulator tab from the thermo-hygrometer.
(Optional) Stick the numbered stickers to the thermo-hygrometers for classification purposes.
Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and place it close to the thermo-hygrometer. Location Services/GPS should be turned on for Android users.
Open Govee Home, tap the "+" icon at the top right corner, and select "H5100" from the device list.
Follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing. It is recommended to name the thermo-hygrometer with a corresponding number (e.g., "②kitchen").
Repeat the steps above to add additional thermo-hygrometers.

Note:

Please check the above steps and try again if pairing fails.
If multiple sensors are detected during pairing, keep sensors that do not need to be paired away from the phone. When the sensor intended for pairing is close to the phone, its corresponding name will flash in the app.

③ Pairing Sensors with the Wi-Fi Gateway

Tap the "Add a sub-device" icon (down arrow in a circle) at the top right corner of the gateway's device page.
Tap on your gateway.
Add a new sub-device.
Tap the "+" icon to add a sensor and the "✓" icon to save.
Pairing is successful when the "Wi-Fi signal with checkmark" icon appears.

Installing Your Device

Remove the battery compartment cover from the open slot.
Put the lanyard through the lanyard hole.
Close the back cover securely.

Note: The communication distance will be shorter if obstacles are present in real circumstances. Users should try to reduce barriers such as metal doors or thick walls.

Troubleshooting

① The Wi-Fi gateway could not be connected to the Wi-Fi network or the connection is unstable.

The product supports only 2.4 GHz (not 5 GHz) Wi-Fi networks.
Check the network name and password, avoiding special characters.
The device should be placed within the router's signal coverage. Maintain a distance of less than 100 meters (328ft) between the gateway and the router.
Reduce barriers such as metal doors or multiple thick walls.

② The thermo-hygrometer does not work or cannot be found on the app.

Pull out the plastic insulator tab before use.
Check the battery condition or replace it if necessary.
Keep the smartphone close to the thermo-hygrometer.
Shorten the distance and reduce barriers between the thermo-hygrometer and the Wi-Fi gateway.

③ The notification alert is delayed or there is no alert.

Turn on the relevant permissions for the Govee Home App.
Shorten the distance and reduce barriers between the thermo-hygrometer and the Wi-Fi gateway.

④ The thermo-hygrometer's readings are faulty or the thermo-hygrometer is disconnected.

Shorten the distance and reduce barriers between the thermo-hygrometer and the Wi-Fi gateway.
Unpair all H5100 thermo-hygrometers from the device list in the app and then pair them again.
Replace the battery.

Warning

The thermo-hygrometer is rated to work in environments with temperatures ranging from 14°F to 140°F (-10°C to 60°C) and humidity from 0%RH to 99%RH.
Always handle these devices with care and do not attempt to disassemble them.
Do not immerse these devices in water.
